View attachment 43129 My first proper shot at a team. A little light on premiums in the mids, but covered heavily elsewhere. Rookies will change, naturally.

I would go;

Ellis > Daisy
Watts > Dusty

Not sure if you have $$ available though,

Ellis could eventually become a premo SC Mid, but not this year,

Watts needs to show more in a season before you could confidently pick him for rd 1.

IMO

I think Jay Clarke serves an important purpose, he clears the herd of non-serious players from stumbling onto a half decent team initially whilst leaving the rest of us who have done our due diligence from not only picking a decent initial team, but taking the knowledge learned in the preseason throughout each round. I hope Clarke releases some more supercoach related goodies for the masses to consume!

Liking the Parker selection, nice pod. Don't think the dpp's in the mids are necessary at this stage, would put Zorko in the fwds and Mitchell in the backs and get a Murphy and Cotchin/Watson in the mids instead.

Cheers for that. Daisy is hard to resist, but I suppose Ellis and Watts are my initial attempts at finding a POD that could score big. Watts has shown little, I'll grant you, but Roos has been very clear about his midfield role and I really think Roos will push him to lift his game.

Also, need a couple of cheaper rookies (117-123k) in fwds to raise cash, this might help to get a Watson/JPK/Cotchin in your mids.

Yep good point. Hoping for someone to stand up both in the backs and fwds over the next two weeks because it's getting quite bare.

Careful with thinking that mid-pricers, who you think might breakout, are POD's.

POD's are premium players that have shown a high level of scoring, but have a low level of ownership, eg Drew Petrie

Version 3.0

Thoughts?

Taking the risk of NOT having JMartin in my team, Thought it my be a good POD by leaving him out and adding an extra prem mid in Watson.

It was either McVeigh, JMartin & Lamb or Suckling, Jobeth & Billings.

Decided to choose the latter on the fact that the latter has way more upside as far as points go.

Considering Hansen, Libba & NicNat as the PODs. Cant go to crazy on them too early.

Rookies will be reviewed after NAB games of course.

But apparently Robertson, Michie Dunston, Billings, Garlett and Broomhead have been impressing so far.

Libba Jr. might cop a tag with Griffen out. Just a thought.

Given they play different roles I don't think it'll be an issue. That being said, I doubt Chappy will play more than 16 games this season, and I'm worried about Daniher as a young KPF being able to score consistently. Preseason will tell, and he could very well score extra points as a pinch-hitting forward ruckman. Is Carlisle typically a heavy scorer?

From what I remember he's scored well when he's gone forward, hopefully he can keep up it when he's there permanently and not just pinch-hitting. Can take a contested mark, that's for sure. Chappy I'm planning to trade out for the bye, and I'm happy to take a punt on JD getting some consistency.

Had a big " Jock Reynolds-SC Paige binge " on the weekend

Definitely have the potential to be a productive trio - fingers crossed for your sake!
