Anyone have any feedback on my team, got a bit excited with the midfield maybe . But I still think it looks fairly solid.

Backs: Bartel, Mitchell, Hanley, Suckling, McDonald , J.Laidler (Clurey, Georgiao)

Mids: Ablett, Pendlebury, Watson, Beames, Marc Murphy, Dale Thomas, Michie, Polec (Dunstan, Crouch)

Rucks: mcintosh ,Sandi (Thurlow, King)

Forward: Dangerfield, Martin, franklin, Pavlich, Higgins, Impey (Kennedy Harris, Merret)

Cheers!

not sure that georgy will get games, same with merret.

i think mcveigh in the backline is a must! had an awesome game against brisbane got over 30 disposals or so.

i would look to downgrade, murphy or thomas to someone like tyson or another rookie and use the money elsewhere

everywhere else looks good.

Been a while since I posted my team, and since Judd_Magic asked what my midfield structure is in another thread I thought I might as well post my whole team.

McViegh Mitchell Simpson Enright McDonald Laidler
(Langdon, Georgio)

Ablett, Pendles, Libba, Beams, Tyson, Michie, Polec, Ellis
(Dunstan, Crouch)

Luey, Sandilands
(Derickx, Thurlow)

Dangerfield, Martin, Roughead, Pavlich, Higgins, McDonough
(Impy, Kennedy-Harris)

Only 5k left, not very unique either, but I'm happy with it as it fits my plan for the year.

Thoughts? Jiska toxic timtamWB TheOz

Very solid team, not the structure I'm entertaining but a nice quartet of premium mids, strong backline and forwards too and pretty much the cream of the mid rookie crop, just a few of things I would consider.

1. Laidler, I'm not convinced that he is in their best 22. Even if he will be named for round 1, he is likely to drop out for Johnson who they have massive wraps on. He also only played a quarter of their last practice game and didn't really do too much which worries me as well. Would be a decent pick with JS.

2. Luey would be a great pick if Trent West wasn't recruited and set to play for them. Apparently Leppitsch is keen on playing with two ruckmen this season so look out for that. I'm sure Brisbane supporters can clarify further though.

3. Like the Roughead pick however I think Franklin provides better value. Can't fault the Pav selection. Also like McDonough ahead of Rohan who most have gone for at F6 (although personally I'm not playing any forward rookies).

4. Consider a loophole ruckman (Max King) to allow for C/VC loopholing as per toxic's suggestion. King has a lot of late games in the round so he is a great option for this.

Wow really loving this team right now. Someone bring me back to earth. Just made the following changes.
Minson > sandi
Laidler > suckling (d5 McDonald goes d6)
McDonough > caddy (f5 Higgins becomes f6)

All this talk about Rohan getting the vest and Caddy scoring well has made me bring him at F6

Goodbye starting the season with cash in the bank lol

TBH I don't have Rohan as I think he'll sit around the 65 mark but I really don't see him as a vest candidate, you really need someone to come on and run through the mids and create havoc, Rohan just isn't that guy yet IMO. I think he needs another year to get his leg right. He's a full time fwd pocket in my eyes and will get time on the ground but his output is sketchy. I think Caddy should be F5 otherwise I think you've gone slightly hard on your forwards. But each to their own just MO

G'day fellas. First post for the year. How am I looking?

for mine i rate it a 5/10 - okay after 10 beers but after 1 beer I'm not going home with you

D6, F6 too week for me and I'm personally not a fan of the 4 premo mid structure, couple of other selections i personally dont like and you lose a point for no Higgins ( KardiniaPark rulz)

IMO you lose 2 points for no HIGGINATORLOCKBEAUTIFULMAN

Please use the correct spelling in future :)

I think West can play a Hale role so I think Berger is still a valid selection, but too expensive for my poor old bank account...

Making a new post with a better way to look at the team.

Would seriously love any opinions on this team as I feel quite out of the loop this year.

Roughead is a very interesting one as he is a player who most people have avoided, even though he has averaged 100 in the last 2 years. I think Franklin will have the higher average but Roughead might pip him in the overall count.

Updated team. Only minor tweaking.
S Thompson in for Hibbered.
Ablett down graded to Cotch (will trade into GAJ using mid cash cows..... well thats the plan anyway:drunk:)
Caddy a late inclusion for Kennedy-Harris. Nervous that Michie and Tyson won't play in the same team. One will play. Aish and Crouch good cover IMO, especially with the crows hurting after the preseason games.

If anyone has heard anything about my players being injured or having interrupted preseasons, do me a favour and lemme know pls.:thumbsu::hearts::rainbow:

Having seen Roughead first hand on Sunday. If you don't have him in your side, your behind the 8 - ball.

Kicked 7, 27 possessions, 10 marks or something like that. Big numbers for a KPF in my book.

Against a disinterested Melbourne side in a 110 point drubbing!
I just worry about the big boys in the wet. Thats why I love mids in my forwards.

He was kicking them from general play (2nd and 3rd goals were from general play in fact) whilst you really can;t deny the 27 possessions he had. Thats big numbers for a KPF in any players eyes.

I am very tempted to bring him into my side. Just not sure how I can afford him.

Lol I've got the same structure!!! Almost the exact same team tbh. I think we're crazy but if it works we'll be ahead!

Could you explain the McCarthy pick, not saying it's a bad pick, I just haven't heard anything about him!

Really good team, I love the Jack selection! The only thing I would change, excusing a couple of personal premo picks that I would change, is Dixon in the forward line. I know you've got him there for the R/F flexibility with Thurlow, but I just think you're taking a spot from another forward who will average at least 5 points more. But I understand the selection, I just don't agree with it. Apart from that, it's pretty damn good.

Haha yeah well my reason behind it is all those rookies in my team I'm confident they will all be in the top 10 rookies so why get a def rookie which I'm not confident on
