im not even going to try and predict what trades north will be involved in (if any). but this is how i think we may go in the draft:

9. Ryley Dunn, would be our first choice if still available. north have a history of recruiting youngsters from the murray region and ryley fits that bill. he is also exactly what our midfield needs. expect us to take mclean if dunn is already gone.

24. lottery for who we may take here, a lot will depend on who has already gone. would like mclean, dyson or walker to last it this late in the draft!!:D

40. aaron davey, best young player in the vfl. if he can develop into any sort of a player, the combination of him and wells would be absolutely lethal!! big gamble to draft him here, but it could pay massive dividends.

56. will prob draft a delisted player here, hopefully someone young who can develop into either a gun midfielder or a quality forward of some description. your guess is as good as mine as to who it may be.

The Aaron Davey that has played for the Port Adelaide Magpies last year??????

OK Alessio will do if Hille gets injured.

That's not the point. The point was harvey is too valuble to us. He is fast and skillful and we dont have many of those in our senior side. He wont be traded unless we can get a similar player to him. And with laycock and o'keefe we dont need a ruckman. Unless someone offers us gardiner or biglands i doubt sheeds will be interested.

I certainly like that :D (Not that I have seen him or anything.. but sounds.. so.. Shinboner-ish.. tough.. I like tough.. tough is good)

My thoughts.. I am hoping

#9- Ryley Dunn (Well after what I said above did you expect any different?!)

#24- if we don't trade it, not sure.. probably "best available" type pick.

#40- I am guessing now would be as good a time as any to take a punt on picking up Davey.. or maybe DeLuca.. that or a smokey.

Next pick- Skip.. or smokie.. or a 'mature' age draftee (Like Collingwood picking up Lokan {not a reject AFL player}) or a reject.

Go Roos

The VFL is a very very goodleague... and Davey is already performing well in that level.
Why not draft him with our 1st pick? we have seen him play, really need pace..... and who knows may even turn out better than another propersition.

TRADE - Wirrapunda to Carlton for pick no 2

DRAFT -

Pick 2 - Keppler Braderly

pick 11 - Callum Burges/ Moody

pick 2? - Jacob Surjan/ Beau Waters

pick 3? - Matthew Pettigrew/ Michael Johnson/ Spencer

Dees might try something like...

Wheatley for Dylan Smith
Lamb or Nicholson + something (maybe Williams or Ward) for pick 19 and then draft...

3 Colin Sylvia
5 Raphael Clarke
19 Billy Morrison
20 Brock McLean if he's still there
36 Chris Johnson
52 Adam Bentick read his draft camp profile and he seems like the type of player we need. Wouldn't have a clue if he's any good though.
