Near impossible to choose but if I was forced to pick then Q4 of the GF just because I never thought I would ever get to experience that moment. Must say I could make the same argument for Q4 of the PF but the sweet feelin' of winnin' the GF comes out on top.

They all rank as the best for me, the last Quarter of the GF will be etched in my mind forever.
The Second Qtr against GWS when Sir ZAINE CORDY accidentally kneed Callan Ward in the Jaw was the pivotal point in our premiership tilt, only because we lost Roughy about 10mins earlier.
I must say i had a great time getting stuck into the GWS boys in the pocket when they warmed up and Mark Latham because he wore a Giants scarf

It is a tie between Q3 v Hawks, Q4 v GWS & Q4 v Syd.

The Hawks 3rd quarter where we pulled away had all the markings of a Rocky Balboa film, like when Rocky and Apollo were training together and doing sprints on the beach and Rocky finally pulls away to show he has built up his speed and is ready. The demons are gone. Look out Clubber Lang.

Q4 v GWS was like Rocky IV v Drago. A hated rival, enemy territory. Outsized. Modern science and marketing all pointing towards defeat. Bells and whistles v Grit, blood and boots. We beat the shit out of them. Dirty bastards couldn't go with us and were found wanting. Faux tough v Real tough.

Q4 v Sydney was a victory lap.

The 2nd quarter of the Hawthorn semi final rates highly for me. It was the quarter where I started to believe that the flag was ours for the taking.
- Bont monstering Hodge
- Hawks had given their best but were only 1 point up at half time
- Tom Boyd stepping up at the 1/2 time melee, telling his team mates "I've got this". Boyd was becoming a Man.
- My prophetic quote to some loud mouth Hawthorn supporters when they took a 4 goal lead. It was something like "that's only delaying the inevitable you know - we'll run all over you after half time".

My most emotional quarter though was the 4th quarter at Spotless. After watching us lose 7 consecutive prelims, a couple in heartbreaking fashion, the tension - a mixture of belief and dread during the game and pure emotion when Tory took the mark that sealed the game, was overwhelming. I remember screaming "we're in the bleeping grand final, I can't believe it". Then I sat down and just burst into tears and was shaking, I was so overcome with emotion.

The last quarter of the Grand Final was a different feeling to the last quarter at Spotless. It was all about the excitement and fun of watching a life long dream becoming reality - I could tell from early on that the game was ours to lose, and we really did dominate apart from a short burst from Joey Kennedy in the 2nd that helped the Swannies kick 4 in a row. We could have wrapped it up in the 3rd quarter with a little more accuracy (2.6) but it never felt like we were kicking ourselves out of it. It was more like Sydney were rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic, and eventually their resistance would be fultile (apologies to the Borg) and the 62 year drought would end. It was a joyous occasion, and the waterworks didn't really hit until Bevo had to go and call Murph up to the stage to give him his medal. The voice was history though - the larynx can only maintain a guttural roar for so long!!!!

Q3 - Hawks - excitement at that point - it was confirmation we were the real deal.

Q4 Giants - Just tension and relief. Could barely watch the last few minutes.

Q4 GF - Unbridled joy.

Different emotions. What a rollercoaster. Q4 in the GF wins - it was the best feeling. Everyone around had shiny eyes or tears of joy running unchecked down their cheeks. Never been so hoarse after a game. Never been so spent. Not even after the GWS game. Could not sleep that night. Incredible feeling.

We had climbed the mountain and what about that view?

Of course it's hard to go beyond the last quarter of a Grand Final win but for pure build up of tension and then a stunning last 2 minutes I would say the GWS final quarter was just amazing, particularly so if you were there. It was nail biting stuff from go to woe and the outburst of emotion when I realised we had made a Grand Final was awesome. To then be able to run on to the field at the end of the game and soak it up in crazy ecstasy is something I will never forget. Yeh, the Grand Final was pretty damn good too! ;)
