Your three 2013 Predictions

1. Eddie McGuire will have recurrent dreams nightmares involving a grinning Mick Malthouse holding the premiership cup.

2. Jeff Kennett will mount a campaign to take back the Hawthorn presidency as sees the Hawks premiership window closing.

3. Brian Taylor will call a game during which he won't make more than 20 calling errors.

Fremantle make their first GF

GWS finish above essendon and North

Fremantle V Collingwood GF- Draw

Fremantle win replay

Am liking the way you think.. I do think we wont be last but as for who would be under us... Port, Demons, North & GC maybe but I cant see us ahead of the Bombers.

I also think Freo might take out their 1st prem.

1. There will be alot of players getting a specific injury throughout the season.
2. Rule committee will bring in 3 sh*thouse and unnecessary rules to combat these injuries despite them being random.
3. 3 more rules will be brought in to counter tactics created to bend the previous 3 rules to a teams advantage.

3 THAT ARE CERTAIN TO HAPPEN

(1) The usual discussion talking points will again come up this year (ANZAC Day monopoly, Tanking, Uneven Draw, Night GF, Rule Changes.....)

(2) Not a single match outside of the GF will be a total sellout, this doesn't mean all Public tickets sold, but ALL tickets involving the many members reserves that exist.

(3) There will be either 1 or 2 coaches sacked before this time next year.

3 THAT MAY HAPPEN

(1) There will be an equal split of Victorian and non-Victorian based teams in the Finals Series, but Neither South Australian team will be amongst them. (Sydney top 4, WC top 4, Fremantle 5-6, Brisbane P8)

(2) A Victorian based team to be LAST (and it's probably going to be us the way McCartney's game plan is)

(3) Whilst Jimmy Toumpas will win the Rising Star, fellow GWS recruit Stephen Gilham will be the so called "recruit of the year"

3 THAT ARE LITTLE TO NO CHANCE OF HAPPENING

(1) Umpires to become Full-Time across the board to improve standard of umpiring.

(2) The next experimental batch of potential players to be invited to combine at the expense of local talent will be failed Japanese Sumo Wrestlers

(3) Julia Gillard to resign as Prime Minister to become a board member of the Bulldogs

1. GCS 6-8 wins
2. WB takes the wooden spoon.
3. Sydney Hawthorn GF, Hawthorn Premiers

Three safe predictions:

1. The MRP will throw up some totally bizarre, random rulings which, when compared to other similar / identical situations, make absolutely no sense. The AFL will insist the bizarre decisions were "technically correct".

2. Numerous threads on various BF boards will be derailed by Geelong fans trolling Hawthorn and Hawk fans getting sucked in and responding....again... yawn.

3. One Friday night, with no warning whatsoever, the umpires will suddenly be super-strict on one particular interpretation of one particular rule. By the end of the weekend, the rule will be ignored as usual.

1. Sydney will prove idiotic doubters once again and be top 4 minimum.
2. Essendon will have another hyped up season, but only to fail, meaning James Hird will be sacked.
3. Brisbane make the eight.

My top eight predictions:

1. Hawthorn
2. West Coast Eagles
3. Sydney Swans
4. Fremantle
5. Geelong
6. Carlton
7. Collingwood
8. Essendon

Hawks have a point to prove in 2013 and I expect them to be as hard to beat as ever. West Coast and Fremantle both had great 2012 campaigns, and could improve in 2013. Collingwood should be finalists, they're a good side, but they may fall down the ladder, but not out of the eight. Carlton under Malthouse should rise up the ladder, and Essendon can make the eight if they fix a few problems that saw them miss in 2012. Adelaide and North Melbourne to miss. Richmond and St Kilda too, they will be unlucky. Gold Coast will begin, slowly, to improve. 5 or 6 wins in 2013. Melbourne should be more competitive in 2013 with gradual improvement of their young group, as well as the addition of some experienced players from other clubs.

This is a sensible post. :thumbsu:

It really surprised me because a Geelong fan said something sensible and even complimentary about Hawthorn!!!
I kept reading, expecting a sting in the tale, then I realised the poster is new, only 6 posts.

Keep up the good work son, It's nice to find a Cat fan not still foaming at the mouth about 2008.

You follow a good club. Enjoy it, and good luck to you.

1. The reigning premier will miss the finals, proving once and for all what a strange year 2012 was

2. Fremantle will play in their 1st grand final

3. Brisbane will make the 8
Don't know about that one. Seems like Sydney don't like going down the ladder that much. They have missed the finals only twice since 2001 (2002 and 2009). So that is once since 2003. After a premiership season, I don't think that trend will stop.

What a great club :thumbsu:

1. Goldcoast will beat richmond again
2. gws will beat collingwood in the semi finals but fall short to the goldcoast suns
3. western bulldogs will win the premiership

1: Aaron Edwards will take mark of the year, on Jeremy Howe.
2: Jobe Watson will go back to back in the brownlow.
3: Shaun Atley will be right in the mix for All Aus.

Mover: Carlton - Have a better year injury wise

Slider: Adelaide - there will be a un healthy reliance on Tex Walker

Most improved player: Chris Yarran to be a major part of Carlton's resurgence
