Why would Sydney drop out of the top 4?
There is no logic at all behind that.
Sydney and Collingwood finished one game ahead of 6th place. It's hardly outrageous to suggest that either team might not finish top 4.Collingwood to drop out of the top 4? Surely a joke right?
Richmond to be caught rorting the cap and stripped of their six 9th-placed finishes.Surprised no one has thrown up a salary cap breach, wish I had of now.Every chance it will happen.
Exactly...if next year is anything like this year, there could be little more than a game or two and percentage between first and sixth, seventh or eighth.Sydney and Collingwood finished one game ahead of 6th place. It's hardly outrageous to suggest that either team might not finish top 4.
My 3 predictions are:
A Grade teams in 2013: Hawks, Swans, Crows, Blues, Freo, Essendon,West Coast
- Not 1 but 2 teams from outside the 8 will storm into the top 4 in season 2013. Carlton and Essendon (as much as it pains me to say) replacing Sydney and Collingwood
- The season will be the strongest in many years with a more A grade teams and more B grade teams and less C and D grade teams.
B Grade teams in 2013: Pies, Geelong, North Melbourne (will improve), Richmond (will improve), Brisbane Lions (will improve) St.Kilda
C Gold Coast Suns (Will improve), Port (will improve),
D Giants, Dees, Dogs
3. No coaches will be sacked in season 2013.
Why would Sydney drop out of the top 4?
There is no logic at all behind that.
1. Geelong to miss the 8
2. Richmond top 4
3. Brisbane bottom 10
There was no logic behind Port (04), West Coast (06) and Hawthorn (08) all failing to make the top 4 the following year. Not saying it will happen but it's certainly possible.
A middle of the road team with a soft draw will make about 7 or 8 and fall straight out of finals.
1. Carlton to go top four now that they have a coach.
2. Brian Taylor to call the grand final.
3. Richmond to again show promising signs, again show improvement, and again miss the eight.
And:
Dan26 to revisit the top ten idea with 207 compelling reasons why the AFL must go to an all knockout top twelve, with all games played on Thursday afternoons, over two five minute halves on a basketball court using a medicine ball.
The AFL Rules Committee to seriously consider going to an all knockout top twelve, with all games played on Thursday afternoons, over two five minute halves on a basketball court using a tennis ball.
Bigfooty to be over-run with the same ideas for State of Origin again, both during the off-season and once the RL SoO gets close.
Deja Vu? (north)
Port were a severly ageing team. Brisbane who played that GF were in a similar situation and missed the 8.
WCE finished 3rd.
Hawks were decimated by injury.
