Thinking of going to see Megadeth but the opening bands are shit. Bullet for Valentine, 5FDP, what is Dave's problem? Touring with such crappy bands. Dave's voice is so bad live anyway.

BFMV put on a decent show.

i got tickets to Guns n Roses in nov. had tickets to Larkin Poe for april which was just postponed again. theres a few others i cant think of right now that have either been postponed indefinitely or cancelled. probably wont be buying tix for anything anytime soon as they just all get canned
Back on.
Larkin Poe will be performing in Melbourne at the Corner on Tuesday 11th April.

They will also be playing Bluesfest Byron Bay on Thursday 6 April and Good Friday.

The message I got at 10am today was the 11th at The Corner. But it looks like we are both right. But the 10th is sold out. Looks like tickets still available for the 11th.
Larkin Poe - Bluesfest Touring
Looks like the corner is a new second show.
I was confused because when I originally bought tickets in like 2020 it was at the corner and was since shifted.
Not confusing at all haha

Went and seen Ice Cube and Cypress Hill last night. Great show from both full of old school classics.

Have tickets for Wu-Tang and Nas in May. Hopefully the full clan show like they did on the US tour last year.

What a weekend.

Ice Cube/Cypress Hill on Thursday into Knotfest on Friday. Cube and Slipknot were both firmly on my “must-see” and “can’t quite believe I haven’t seen before” lists. Good shows!

Fair to say different vibes. I wonder how many others were at both?

Knotfest was a pretty good time
Slipknot pretty good, i'm not their biggest fan but they put on a good show. think they sounded better when i last saw them at Soundwave whenever that was. they were a bit cleaner then from memory. old mate on the drums is a beast.
Parkway Drive are a world class act. winstons vocals were a bit off though - he's normally another level above that. shame they dont play more older stuff - im not big on the last few albums
Megadeth, they were pretty damn tight. Daves voice was better than i thought it would be. glad i finally got to see them.
Trivium are probably my favourite band ever, been consistently listening to them since 2005 but they lack it live. they werent bad, just dont come across as strong as they should. different vocal techniques live v in studio doesn't help. about the same every time i see them.
Amon Amarth i really enjoyed. the rowing business is lame af though haha
Northlane, another top aussie act - they are fantastic.
my last pick was Spiritbox - really dig them. singer is fantastic

I've seen them like 5 times now and have always been underwhelmed. I'm not sure if it's just their songs don't grab me, I mean they're great musicians and try to put on a show, I'm always just left meh I guess.

And with Amon Amarth you need to try and forget how corny they are sometimes and enjoy it, they are a lot of fun and they have a great frontman. (I do understand what you're saying though ha ha)

Knotfest last night.

Never been into Amon Amarth but they were great, stage presence and really got the audience into it, I will be downloading their catalogue - the Rowing was fun.

The other highlight was Parkway Drive. Fantastic.

Megadeth good. Another band I've always wanted to tick off my bucket list.

Slipknot isn't my Jam personally but they put on a good show visually.

Packed crowd, heaps of youngin's metal is as strong as ever! Place ran out of beer at 8:30 which was strange. Thirsty crowd! Long day, getting old 🤣
