Very interesting indeed. Below a quote from EFL forum

think maybe i was a bit too serious but thats what you need to be successful good club off field and sorry too leave was a mutual decision between president, vice president and myself ,i had done everything i could and i know i can hold my head up and look anyone in the eye without any regrets
but life goes on and i wish the club well
ive said all along you need to be happy with the person in the mirror and i certainly am
are others????????

Can't find the quote on the EFL forum but not a bit surprised to see the now former coach who had lost all meaningful communication with the majority of the core playing group once again trying to justify his decision to leave through a forum such as this, i guess poor form follows him into life after H'Ville - the club will regroup and improve in Div 1 next year, this year is sadly a right off.

heres one for you....Olinda Ferny Creeks first Win at Mt Evelyn since 1967 and after 43 games 21 each with 1 draw

Nice stat, SS. That means that winning at Woori Yallock in round 18 is the final frontier.

I see you are scheduled to wear special one-off guernseys this weekend. Red and blue?

Healesville are the biggest underachiever in the league, as people in the past have stated the size of there township & access to sponsors is huge yet they never really improve. Frank is a good coach & yes tough but thats whats needed to succeed, maybe the players need to have a look at themselves and not blame the coach or other factors for why they continually come up short.

Yep, sacking the coach... look how far that got melbourne. Healesville will still be crap next year if they keep up with the attitudes they've got now. May even be relegated to Division 2.

Size of the town, strong local economy, strong juinor club, local high school, good facilities... Definitley have all the ingredients to be a powerhouse club.

Caught the last couple of Monbulk Valley Vision game, never took great notice when i've seen him llive but is Hugson a left footer? Seems a very awkward kicking style almost as if he's kicking the footy with his opposite foot. Numerous set shot and around the ground kicks.

As an aside - noticed that Hughson featured last week in East Ringwoods "Team Of The Decade". Along with Sheeba and Porter from Upwey...

Yes mate, Blue Socks, our standard Red Shorts, and a Red Jumper with a Blue Horizontal band across the front with white monogram. They look terrific ! Had originally planned for previous home game with H'ville but the Red killed that idea.

The co-incidental umpire interchange swap last weekend at Gembrook (with Peninsula umpires) would have been great to fuel the conspiracy theories too!

McCavity / Red Hot Tip - what were your thoughts on the mexican umpires who ran with our guys at Gembrook on the weekend?

RHT may have a different view to mine (he normally does), but I didn't notice either umpire that much. There was the occasional free missed (for both sides), but that's to be expected. The game was a fairly open, free flowing affair though, which I would expect makes it less likely to be "over umpired". Then again, when you're on the winning side you tend to look more kindly at the umpire's efforts. :)

MIW - I thought that the umpiring at Gembrook on Saturday was the best I've seen all season. There was not a single 50-metre penalty all day! (we had 87 50-metre penalties in the Healesville-Gembrook game earlier this year). They let the game flow. Well done on the umpire swap initiative.

Don't know what occurred but a childish response from a coach, whether harshly treated or not.
Childish, just goes to show how much you really know about football hey Enricco! A couch is appointed to win a flag and must be tough and fair on the players and reading what Frank posted suggests to me that The Bloods don't like a serious or tough coach and that's why they are and always will be a RABBLE!!

Explain to me agin how Gembrook is geographically better suited to the Casey Cardinia league than the Yarra Valley?

If Emerald go into Div 1 and Yarra Glen comes back to Div 2, the average travelling distance (in minutes) for Gembrook in YVMDFL Div 1 would be 31 minutes (33 if Seville go up instead of Emerald). If they moved to Casey Cardinia, the average travelling time would be pushing 38 minutes.

I'm sure the players would be thrilled to drive nearly an hour each way to play at Keyborough.. Just like Div 2 players are thrilled to drive to Yea/Alex.

It is just a beat up J6 - It will never happen...

I always agree with Derby but i couldn't agree more. Finally the players were the centre of attention and the footy was allowed to flow without continuos interuption. Well done to both umpires.

And while we are at the well done's - thanks to the Wandin 2's boys who spent the best part of the afternoon having a kick with some of our little (under 7) gembrook supporters. It was more like a creche for them but they put in a bit of time in having a kick and making the young kids day. This is what country footy is about...

hhhmm no free kicks for the brookers, goes in the memory bank MIW, I think Monbulk, Olinda, Upwey,Warby and Mt Evelyn have the same view mate, so you can be nice to the other 4 sides, "oh" forgot Healesville has the same thoughts too, make that 3 sides lol

Lukey Mac as well. Also previous YV players in Chris Hughson (Mon) and Jon Knight (i think Upwey ??) YV has become EFL Div 1 retirement village !!

Also forgot the human light tower Paul Ferguson, Div 1 B&F winner with Belly (I think its the same one), starting Ruck in the ERFC Team of the Decade.

J6, this is a media beat up. They are trying to make a story out of nothing. Steve's reference about geography is referring to where some of our players live or work, and the fact that we effectively compete with Casey (and the Ellinbank League for that matter) when looking to recruit and retain players. We're not going anywhere.

Childish, maybe not - communication is a two way street and if that communication fails then something is wrong, yes H'Ville are constant underachievers and yes the culture needs to change (as it has begun to), but if players, committee lose beleif in the coach and the coach feels his message is not being followed then either methods or personnel have to change.

Yes, childish Medevil. Not passing judgement on the culture of the underachievers over at Healesville, or the job that the coach did. Comment was referring to the commentary about it on the EFL forum. Tacky coming from a coach 'hey Medevil', you footy guru.

Div 2 Semi Final 1 possible big clash between Emerald and Seville being held at OLINDA! Is that to get them used to Div 1 conditions? LOL will be interesting to see how many neutral supporters will make the treck up
The hill
