Article in Yesterdays Herald Sun suggesting that GWS are likely to keep both Cameron and Williams, by offloading Finlayson, now that Riccardi has stepped up and taken his place well in particular.

I agree that they should offload Finlayson. But what does that have to do with Cameron and Williams?

Finlayson? Wouldn't he be on close to minimum wage? I doubt that getting rid of him would affect their payments much at all.

Finlayson was shopped around with no takers last time and eventually signed with GWS , I would doubt he is on over $400k and wont go anywhere near the difference needed to sign Williams & Cameron.

From memory this isn't quite correct - he was signed up during the 2018 season, then was shopped around that trade period to no takers. No idea what the $ figure was on the contract though.

Hope he comes to the Bombers. We have so much to offer: gets to play with old teammates Shiel, Dev Smith and Stewart; gets to play in front of big crowds (eventually); gets to lose an elimination final once every couple of years.

Plenty of teams who are after a tall forward who can kick goals and play front/back. He'd be cheap too.
I reckon he show'd what he could do in 2019/20 in the games he played. As a North fan I'd be happy to see him up forward next to larkey as another tall forward option and at only 25 in 2021 he's got a long time left in his career.

Both Cameron and Williams are already at the club, it's not as though they have to find money for two new players.

I highly doubt Cameron is going to get a lot more than what he is currently on right now. He's currently the highest paid player in the comp already from memory?

Williams will probably want a bit more money but if Finlayson is on 400k a year that more than covers that.

AFL minimum for a non 1st round pick is 90K (excluding matchpayment, excluding corona cuts) with rookies getting less again.

As you say, get finlayson out for a draftee or rookie and you've got 300kish to split between resignings.

Not nearly as creative or effective with the ball as Daniel/Whitfield/Short etc

Has weapons, but appears to be the same one-way running GWS product as Treloar/Shiel/Conigilio

Team style and Game plan would have alot to do with that , We have seen him in the past and is a Gun player that improves any team

To be fair, most of them only run defensively (which in Coniglio's case, is a pleasant changes- he's back to being good again as opposed to the attacking dross he served up last year). Only Kelly and Taranto go forward.

Zac Williams would actually be the perfect player for Carlton , With Williams & Docherty across half back and rotating through the midfiled as well as a mature head. Think he is the perfect get and a free agent makes it a no brainer

Will he move ? Why not as he is a country boy and already away from home so no difference melbourne or sydney and he probably has many X gws players in melbourne that are his friends at other clubs.
