Not nearly as creative or effective with the ball as Daniel/Whitfield/Short etc

Has weapons, but appears to be the same one-way running GWS product as Treloar/Shiel/Conigilio

He's a jet that would walk straight into most midfield in the comp.

Everytime I've seen him go into the midfield he has an impact.

I think he is a good player but most people are rating him on what he could do and not on what he has done.
Granted he was huge in the preliminary final which does carry alot of weight but does seem do get alot of injuries and goes missing alot.
The fact that his a FA makes him that bit more attractive.

Id say Stratton Smith Poppy Hendo Frost (will be signed for sure) Burgoyne (now signed but Im sure for less than last year) would all be on good coin.

And the lowest you can pay is about $80k plus match payments. We could easily have a crack at a few players.

If the similarly talented Brad Hill was worth a club forking out $800K+ PA to play on the wing, then Zac is probably worth at least as much, if you think he'll be able to hold down a more important inside role.

And clubs may be willing to pay an extra $50K PA or so due to the fact they can get him through FA and won't have to trade anything for him.

Hills contract is pre Covid.

Logically do you really need justification from us. If you are confident enough that he will sign with you because you got more to spend by all mean do it . You either get people agree with you or disagree with you here.
