So you have no idea.

The only number that has been reported is $900k

you can’t say it’s not $900k without giving some form of other number.

Just because you say it’s not $900k does not mean it’s not.

I don’t really get how people can comment on player x being paid too much without knowing the details of said clubs salary cap. For all we know the big money Williams has been offered would go unspent and subsequently given back to the AFLPA to distribute.

Williams is one of the better free agents ever and costs Carlton zero in terms of draft capital. Calling it anything other than a big win is foolish.

Has had offers from multiple clubs up too 900k.

But it’s reported our offer was significantly smaller than Norths.

Just because you’ve misinterpreted Tom Browne of all people doesn’t mean he has been offered 900k by Carlton. You do the math.

Sounds like he's going for north of 800k really. Which is just over Brad Hill. Which is really around the ball park.
Yeah the question becomes how much is the draft pick worth?

Id rather pay williams 900k and no picks vs pay him 800k and give up a 1st rounder eg pick 7. Around $500k and pick 7 is probably the breakeven for me.

I hope its not 900k but if it is, FA acquisitions can be higher and still worth it due to costing nothing in draft assets.

I haven’t misinterpreted Tom Browne.

He said “Will nominate Carlton on a deal worth up to $900k”.

Yes that may be smaller than North, I’m not sure though I have’t heard what North have offered.

Then you try to discredit Tom Browne because you don’t like what he said.

You can not say it’s not $900k

What's your point?

Martin for PSD.
Williams for free agency.

Yes probably both overpaid, but how much would we have saved in draft picks?

Read what you just wrote and go again.

Great get for Blues. Needed in the midfield
Saad also very close
One more very good mid in discussion

Charlie fully fit and in great nick
Kemp looking awesome
Jack fit and missed this year. Underrated

A fit Cripps will make a difference

Another pre season and a proper reserves which have really effected younger players this year and finals is a must in 2021
Smells like you are cooking up something good
