As it stands he has Gumby value - so pick 55. His value increase or decreases depending on number of games played in 2025
Would be absolutely delighted to have him at the Eagles for Hawthorn’s 3R, which at the moment is 49. I think he either comes almost free of charge or stays on the park and would end up costing a lot more in a trade, in the event of which he’d probably end up extending at the Bombers anyway.

I would be very disappointed with that outcome as I really rate him highly

No way.
Gumby was at our club for 6 years, 35 games in total when he was traded out in 2013. We drafted in Joe Daniher that same year who was going to spearhead our fwd line as a replacement.

Dons have zero pressure to see Reid leave or any need to meaningless picks. At least, not for a couple more years..

7 years at ess.

Out of contract his value will depend on if he can stay fit. If he breaks down again 55 would be generous.

Only way I see him leaving is if an opposition club can convince him that he’s been mismanaged at Essendon and would be better served at another club.

It seems unlikely that another club would be that interested to bother going to that effort. Either way he has no real trade value

Hmm, I think I've seen this one...

They've definitely got form here!

He's a tall Key Position player, therefore he will milk a nice AFL career for himself. History tells us this. He will pedal enough kilometres on the exercise bike to circumnavigate Earth many times over at several clubs.

As you say he will stay on Essendon list for a few years yet, (AFL clubs find it really hard to grasp the concept of "Cut Your Losses and Move On.") before he moves to a few more clubs (Schache, Gumby etc..like) until eventually clubs realise they need list spots for new draftees.

Pretty much. Talls get a long time to prove they can't play
