List Manager Tim Lamb couldn’t be happier with Pickett’s decision. “Kozzy has already proven himself as one of the premier small forwards in the competition, kicking 40 goals in each of the last two years. His incredible talent around the ball and ability to hit the scoreboard, combined with his genuine appetite to chase and tackle, make him an invaluable asset to our team,” said Lamb.

Since being drafted with pick 12 in the 2019 National Draft, Pickett has made a significant impact on the Demons and the AFL, playing 67 games and scoring 100 goals to date. The forward’s passion for the game and love for his club have been instrumental in this contract extension.

Pickett himself is thrilled to extend his stay with Melbourne. “The club has embraced me and my family, and I can’t thank them enough for their support. Everything I do is to make my family proud, and the respect and understanding my teammates and coaches have shown us means a lot,” he said.

The young star is also passionate about giving back to his community and inspiring the next generation of AFL players. “I was once that little kid and it’s special for me to now be giving back and doing what I love, surrounded by people I love,” Pickett added.

Demons fans can look forward to another four years of excitement and brilliance from Kozzy Pickett, as he continues to light up the field and cement his place as one of the AFL’s most electrifying talents.
