Watched the replay of Aliir dropping the mark and he looked to be in pain when he went down. He took a long time to recover and try to collect the loose ball.

Time to dig deep, might have to try Marshall in defence and partner him with Skinner.

So all 3 tall defenders are injured, perfect
Yep. Really need Skinner to play a role for us now, but we still need someone else.

Don't recon the answer is Pasini, doesn't have the frame or strength for that, at most he's a third tall.
Marshall isn't nearly strong enough to be a lock down defender and no where near good enough in the air to cover Aliir's intercepting role.

Maybe swing Finlayson to CHB or pull something out of nowhere and try Lord in defence ?

So basically the complete opposite of what Ken said post game
Coach tries to be positive based on a lack of information, media tries to be negative and blow things out of proportion to make a headline.............

This is where coaches need to earn their money. Something creative to get us out of a tight spot. For all of Mark Williams shortcomings, always felt he had options up his sleeve for situations like this.

Hinkley, well, he has proven form to not respect the different types of roles that fit within a reasonable football structure and follows a more "next soldier up" approach. This has burnt us in the past. I recall in his first year (?) refusing to replace Trengove at CHB and losing 5 in a row.

Really hoping he doesn't just bring in Sinn and Motlop and expect Jonas and Burton to somehow play taller overnight.

Bring in Skinner and Pasini and maybe bolster the flanks with a bit more class to support. Rozee is struggling, maybe run him back there and push Jones up.

Let's wait for the scan results before reading too much into things first.

May not be as bad as they're saying.

Of course it could be worse too !!!

Talk about unlucky. A few weeks ago, we looked well stocked for (admittedly a bit undersized) key defenders.

Hopefully Skinner can slot right in. Finlayson played a little bit in defence for GWS, so conservative Ken will most likely send him back there rather than Marshall. I hope he doesn't decide to use Burton as a third tall when he's established himself as being our best option on danergous smaller forwards.

If only we hadn't delisted goldsack lol

It's an insane situation that we've found ourselves in. There isn't a team in the league who could adequately cover three key defenders all getting long term injuries within a week of each other. Still having Jonas and Skinner probably even puts us ahead of where most teams would be in this scenario.
