Port Adelaide footy boss Chris Davies says star forward Charlie Dixon is “less likely than likely” to feature in Round 1 against Brisbane.
Dixon had to have surgery to tighten ligaments in his ankle after landing on a teammate’s foot following a marking contest in January.

In good news for the Power, Robbie Gray has been cleared of any muscle injury after he reported hamstring awareness in the first quarter of the Community Series win over Adelaide on Saturday. Gray didn’t return to action and Davies said it was out of precaution.

Scott Lycett came off towards the end of the game with “a bit of a sore back” but he should be right for Round 1. Untried Sam Hayes has pressed his claim for an AFL debut this pre-season but will likely still have to wait with Lycett’s body tracking well. Davies said Hayes needed to work on his movement around the ground, not just in the ruck.

Pretty cool how Lycett's last three games have consisted of getting beaten by a cooked 34 year old, mid game injury, and mid game injury, and yet we still won't give Hayes a go.

They forgot to add.

"Since we don't recognise Schofield being a realistic chance for the 23 currently, we're just going to ignore his existence and potential injury until someone in the media/social media calls us out on it."
Schofield's rolled ankle mentioned here, also Trent Burgoyne apparently was being managed, saw him at half forward only a little bit.

"Along with the performances of some of the new SANFL contracted players, Lokan was pleased that his side was able to battle it out across the longer format match, even with Trent Dumont (concussion), Trent Burgoyne (managed) and Taj Schofield (rolled ankle) sitting out periods of the contest."

Still no actual injury list by the club, but with us being 2 weeks out from the next set of games, my guess would be this.

Power:
Farrell (Knee, 18 weeks)
Fantasia (Knee, 7 weeks)
Clurey (Knee, 6 weeks)
Dixon (Ankle, 3 weeks)
Powell-Pepper (Hamstring, 2 weeks)
Jackson (Hip, 2 weeks)
Bergman (Shoulder, 2 weeks)
Motlop (Personal Reasons, 2 weeks)
Dumont (Concussion, 2 weeks)
Gray (Hamstring Awareness, 2 weeks)
Schofield (Rolled Ankle, 2 weeks)
Lycett (Back Soreness, 2 weeks)
Magpies:
T.Burgoyne (Managed, 2 weeks)

Clurey has had a scope on his knee - not scheduled to begin training for a month so probably looking at a 6-8 week layoff. Would expect McKenzie to slot right in (I think he's the better player anyway).

Bit of an injury crisis here, the majority of players should recover in 2 weeks, but if they didn't, we'd have 4 AFL listed players in the SANFL side next game.
Episode 2 Whatever GIF

probably down to all that slouching and beta male stride that he has.

So Farrell gets back before Fantasia?
Far out. What a bust.

News last night said spp , gray good to go after hammies, Dixon needs extra time so not this week, Rozee had covid exposure after cricket game , but is clear to go this week.

If Rozee had exposure, it's likely the entire cricket team did (which was made up of our players) lol

Just the 5 players out after the AFL and SANFL teams came out. Everyone that was listed as assess have come up good.

Fantasia (Knee, 8 weeks)
Clurey (Knee, 6 weeks)
Farrell (Knee, 5 weeks)
Dixon (Ankle, 2 weeks)
Bergman (Shoulder, 2 weeks)

Two weeks seems to be the standard PAFC response to any injury. It always starts at two weeks then when the two weeks is up, you guessed it another two weeks. Several years ago I think it was Jacon Surjan who missed half of the season with a 'two week' injury. It was a running joke among supporters at the time.

On a positive note several of those listed look to have recovered.
