I got caught in a similar situation (not kicking 1000 goals, but stuck in the wrong place when I was guiding the opening of the opening of the running of the bulls festival in Pamplona). Was told not to go in the town square as when it clears out it gets overcrowded and ended up in a small side street.

Have never been more scared for more life, literally couldn’t breathe and my feet weren’t even on the ground. Lucky some bulky American dude saw me screaming for my life and pulled me into a doorframe with him.

Watching that gave me anxiety thinking back to that day. As much as you love to see it and it can happen with no fear of violent threat, crushing situations are serious.

Wife and I got caught in Slipknot mosh at Soundwave a few years back.

I didn't mind it, freaked wife out.

Going to Big Day Outs in the 90s loved that feeling of movement of humanity when a band came on.

Enough with this shit.

Just lol at any person who can watch what just happened and still believe we’re in a state of emergency.

Great to see. Well done Buddy.
Thankfully he didn't kick his 1000th goal when there were no crowds as that would have been a downer.

Easily one of the scariest moments I’ve been involved in, and I’ve been hit by a semi trailer that didn’t give-way, and hit by a car going 77km/h as a pedestrian!!

The crowd we’re rushing from the town square outwards so there was just movement from everywhere.

I wish the crowd would’ve backed off after they had their few minutes of fun.

I was caught in the Notting Hill Carnival 20 years ago. Crowds like that, and a policeman on horse had been surrounded. To make room the cop pulled the horse back on 2 legs; front 2 in the air.

The crowd shifted back. And I was lifted off my feet and dumped 20 metres away amongst bodies everywhere. It’s terrifying because there is no one you can call stop to.

Crowds like that have a mind of their own

What if scores were within a goal and one team had its run on at that moment cut short?

Is the 4 points more important than the celebration? You bet your arse it would be.

But what could the AFL have done to stop that mess? You’d need a thousand police/security personnel standing around the fence.

Bugga the 4 points , it cost the Saints a finsls win and allowed Port to get their only flag.

Bloody Gerhig cost us dearly.

Can you imagine how much they would make!

Common sense that they didn't announce fines until when they wanted crowds to disperse. Think there is just 1 guy at the end after all of that who got a fine for refusing to go off. Imagine being only 1 of 20,000 people to be issue a fine lol.

This is what the average Russian should do & protest the war on mass. Can't stop a mass crowd... no matter how many security or police...

Didn't Port get lucky when Gehrig got his 100th in the final years back?
St Kilda had the momentum and Port got it back?
