Kidding, love your work Dylan

I was about to do the update - then realised that Mountford wasn't even listed as a selection option, and the match was already underway

Will add the late change as an edit to the previous post.

Ratings updated after Round 2.

The defenders get a boost whilst the forwards continue to slide.

Darling's abject performance against the Kangaroos takes him down to his lowest ever rating under this system.

Nobody seems to know the Covid-status of the playing group so I've just flagged them all as "TEST" until further information comes forth.

Squad Selection:

Round 3 (vs Fremantle Dockers @ Optus Stadium [Perth Stadium])

Another 12 changes this week as the rollercoaster of injuries and Covid continues.

The selection improves to an F- rating this week.

Ironically, this team has a chance of winning has Fremantle's selection can only manage an F- rating also.

Nothing wrong with the integrity of the competition at all... :drunk:

What a powerhouse!

Ratings updated after Round 3.

With Petracca moving down due to the tag against Essendon, one-man defence McGovern shoots ahead to claim the no.1 spot for the first time since Round 9, 2021.

Over the first three rounds of the season McGovern has averaged:
  • 20 disposals, 9 marks, 3 contested marks, 11 intercepts, 10 spoils, 7 rebounds and 425 metres gained.

Elsewhere at West Coast, continual injuries and Covid absences keep working to destroy the season inside a month of its commencement.

Interestingly, the club placed second on the injuries/absences list is Port Adelaide, who are also being significantly impacted in performance onfield.

Squad Selection:

Round 4 (vs Collingwood Magpies @ Marvel Stadium [Docklands Stadium])

2022-R4-WCE-Selection.png

Just four changes this week as the club begins to exit the off-field carnage that has thrown the start of the season under a bus.

The midfield comprised of Redden, West, O'Neill, L.Edwards, Naish, Langdon and Nelson however may be one of the worst in the history of the club.

As a result, the selection can once again only manage an F- rating.

Ratings updated after Round 4.

McGovern continues to dominate, but is overtaken by C.Oliver and T.Stewart at the top of the list.

Continued absences of players from being available is starting to have a significant impact upon their ratings.

The injury to Naitanui has a crippling effect on the midfield rating of the squad.

Squad Selection:

Round 5 (vs Sydney Swans @ Optus Stadium [Perth Stadium])

2022-R5-WCE-Selection.png

Seven more changes this week - including three forced and four best 22 players returning.

Naitanui will be out until after the bye with a knee injury; B.Williams comes in to replace him and take responsibility of being first ruck.
McGovern adds to the trend of being in great form only to get a Covid lay-off; H.Edwards is replacement.

Rotham shifts from the substitute last week to replace Hough, who had been impressive thus far this season.

Heroes from last week O'Neill, West, L.Edwards (inj.) and Waterman all make way for a return of the first team cavalry: Yeo, Shuey, Kelly and Cripps are named after injury and Covid absences.

With a hole in the ruck due to Naitanui's injury, and several members of the squad sliding down the rankings due to missing matches, the squad can still only manage an E rating.

Hey Dylan

What's the deal with Darling and Kennedy?

Darling has a better position rank and Rating but worse overall rank 🤔

Darling has a better position rank and Rating but worse overall rank 🤔

It's a result of Kennedy now being rated significantly higher as a forward that plays like a "small" rather than as a marking target.

Tall Forwards.....................Small Forwards:
Darling-Kennedy-KF.jpg ...... Darling-Kennedy-SF.jpg

The CHF and FF positions in the selection take the 'Tall Forward' rating, thus Kennedy features lower for the position despite being higher overall.

Things slipped slightly behind this week, as covid has ripped through the workplace but somehow has spared me thus far - meaning pretty much everything has been left to me to get done.

Anyhow, here is the squad for the abomination in Adelaide.

Squad Selection:

Round 6 (vs Port Adelaide Power @ Adelaide Oval)

2022-R6-WCE-Selection.png

This team was always going to get flogged.

Squad Selection:

Round 7 (vs Richmond Tigers @ Optus Stadium [Perth Stadium])

2022-R7-WCE-Selection.png

McGovern returns after a two game absence, but Barrass and Yeo miss through injury.

B.Williams joins them on the sidelines through injury, whilst Foley is the latest victim to Covid and last week's substitute Langdon is omitted.

Petrevski-Seton makes an overdue return and Clark joins the list of mature-aged debutants for the Eagles in 2022.

Gaff makes an interesting inclusion, returning from injury as the substitute.

Rating for the selection comes in worse than last week at F-

Squad Selection:

Round 8 (vs Brisbane Lions @ Woolloongabba Oval [Gabba])

More covid and more injuries. Simpson isn't even coming over this week. All that is left is to laugh now.

Eight changes from last week.

Jake Florenca gets a chance at AFL level with the club once again dipping into the contingency list.

Rating for the selection comes in again at F-

Ratings updated after Round 8.

The dumpster fire continues to burn.

The club now has zero representation of any type of midfielder with the top 40 for their respective categories [Outside mid, Onball mid, Forward mid].

Only Yeo and Shuey manage to gain a 'B' rating, and they are unavailable - all the others are 'C' or worse.

On the contrary, our opponents this week Melbourne are the only club in the competition to have two A++ rated midfielders [C.Oliver and C.Petracca].

Squad Selection:

Round 9 (vs Melbourne Demons @ Optus Stadium [Perth Stadium])

2022-R9-WCE-Selection.png

Another five changes. Looks like the club have opted to play the 'kids' against the visiting premiers, which means Clark (who turns 25 next week) gets to have his second match as an AFL player.

834 matches of experience is removed from the team as Hurn, Kennedy and Gaff happen to conveniently come down with injury in the same week.

Doesn't make a difference to the rating of the squad however as it remains rooted at F-

Squad Selection:

Round 10 (vs Greater Western Sydney @ Giants Stadium [Sydney Showground])

2022-R10-WCE-Selection.png

Just three changes this week - not because of any stability coming to the club, but simply because nobody else is available.

Gaff and Shuey return to assist the ailing midfield whilst Hough comes in as the likely substitute.

With that in mind however, according to my calculations the contingency list should be available, so it is somewhat baffling that it has not been utilised this week.

Another week of F- from the selected squad.

Amazingly, the opponents are almost as dysfunctional (GWS has made nine changes for this match), lending the slim opportunity for an upset.
