Whilst Tex’s contribution has been enormous, what he’s meant to the club has been even more than his output.
The bloke has copped it from every angle without support from the club.
He obviously brought the lastest wrong-doing on himself, but his previous behavior didn’t warrant the shit he’s copped.
He is my favourite captain by a long way…. And my second favourite player behind McLeod. You’re right, he did bring this last thing on himself, and he’s paid the price for that. But everything else has been a witch hunt. And he STILL can carry our club on his shoulders despite all that.

He is one of those players who people will look at his highlights package in 30 years time and go "wow, this bloke could seriously play".

I think it would be unfair to burden Tex with the captaincy even if he wants it. He would just become a bigger target for the media.
And I agree with this too. He’s already the spiritual leader of this Club, he doesn’t need CAP next to his name to prove it.

Looks like the Expansion Team™ is going down the same path with yet another of their "major" sponsors in difficulty. Following in their great tradition of MyATM, Soaring Securities, Bianco etc.

UK Fraud Investigators visit GFG offices in Whyalla, some one should give these guys a heads up that there's a bigger fraud residing at Alberton.

Investigators visit British offices of Whyalla steelworks owner over fraud, money laundering accusations

KFC should be safe with all the Powah Bogans eating there 5 nights a week, MG might be the next one gone in the long line of Port Sponsors to go belly up.

The first page truly a masterpiece in nuffness

I love this comment the best:

are you for real?

I would have cried if the Demons hired Scott Burns. The guy is another Damien Hardwick, will be just an 'ok' coach but will never take his team anywhere but the bottom half of the ladder.

Mark Neeld will be a premiership coach.

3x Premierships later...

Interesting story is Hardwick.

His back was absolutely pinned to the wall, a lot like Bomber Thompson. Then they reviewed the entire club. Gutted the footy operations. Brought in Neil Balme. Overhauled the game plan. Just like Geelong.

Suddenly they‘re both supercoaches.

Could they coach all along and didn’t have the tools, or were they just lucky to survive the reviews?

MG best describes Port Power - a cheap knock off of what was an elite brand

After hearing him on that Amazon special and the speeches he gave, he could definitely fire them up and that’s how they played.

Interesting how you imagine everything gets cleaned out and a new coach comes in and builds from the ground up.
These had the review and gutting whilst the coach remained.
Maybe we needed to gut the club before we sacked pyke or sando?

I said to myself that if Richmond stick with Hardwick they'd win the premiership. He had them playing elite football for half a season at a time. Just needed to put it all together which they did.

AFL: The whole idea of the rolling fixture was to give the better teams the better time-slots.

Also AFL: Yeah, nah, here's 3 Essendon games in a row on Friday nights.

Crows playing exciting competitive games every week - sh!t timeslots wherever possible.

Essendon playing horrendous football - Primetime baby!!!!

The VFL are a joke.

They lost their GM Commercial and numerous other people left after KT did

They’re not properly resourced atm and can’t afford to change that

Oh well
