There were quite a few lowlights
His first shot was OOF
2nd one snuck in for a point. 😭
Hmm that's a shame....but I guess can be worked on.

Haven barely been able to watch any SANFL myself last few weeks and so reading the reports in here he's pretty much a dead man walking. But it was nice to see him jumping and actually attacking the contest, and taking some really strong grabs. His field kicking looked decent too. I guess it's a good start to see him playing with a bit of confidence (despite it only being a few highlight reels), hopefully he can now build on this and get some continuity into his game and physical development in the gym.

I watched the game on the weekend, first time i've watched the SANFL crows in a long time.
FOG was average, needs to dominate a game if he wants to play AFL and looked a long way off that
Fish was good at clunking marks but that's about it
Newchruch excites me as you can see he is developing, compared to last season he is stronger over the ball and makes a contest overhead
Parnell, wow is this the same guy? His kicking was unreal, quite quick as well, good defensively.
Starchan - no idea how we have the two slowest rucks in the AFL's history
Hamill - just really doesn't appear to be the level above he used to be to me. He is quick but some of his kicks were real average
Borlase - developing well, hope we persist with him as he is a handy understudy for butts
Murray- good in the air, still can't kick
Pedlar - gave away some dumb free kicks, appears to be trying too hard

We need another ruck badly. I wonder if there is anyone in the mid season draft we should be looking at

Borlase is not the answer if one of both of our rucks goes down

Toby Murray...to join his brother? 200cm 94kg when measured last year..Birtday 3.11. 2003 so still yet to turn 19

You can get a look at him in the annual Young Guns vs Vic Metro match on the weekend at Ikon Park, pretty sure the AFL will stream it again this year

Sold! He's off the ground. ;)
Actually his brother Nick is a pretty handy ruck if we ever chose to use him there, has a massive leap and played ruck for his team in the riverina..

Soligo to come back in I think

Changing spots around and you get something like

F LEWIS FOGARTY NANKERVIS
HF WRIGHT MCASEY SOLIGO
C NEWCHURCH CROUCH MILERA
HB PARNELL MURRAY WORRELL
B DAVIS BORLASE MCPHERSON

STRACHAN
FREEMAN
BOYLE

TEMPLETON, SHARRAD, MCKENZIE HALL

Definitely something to work with here still, promising signs. Needs to keep showing this level of attack on the footy and build some form needed confidence
When he was playing in 2020 I felt he was a natural forward.

CHF could be his go. Tex replacement?

After the pre-season matches, I was surprised that Soligo was selected. I have watched him closely in the SANFL and I am warming to the lad.

We seem to be keen to develop him into a wingman and at his tender age he is harder at it than some current and past wingmen.

Who was the last high quality wingman for the Crows? I talking Gaff, Kelly, Hill bros type quality?

Anyone, anyone, Bueller?
