If we’re to play finals and go on to become a genuine contender then these next two games are exactly the type that good teams pencil in as wins. I believe we’ve improved and we’ll prove it tomorrow with a comfortable win, 30 points plus I’m tipping with king to kick 5 plus.
I really hope so....otherwise the loosing melts will be biblical!

I think Adelaide has shown enough this year to suggest we shouldn't take the attitude that this will be an easy win.

Apart from the GWS game they have been ultra-competitive with just about everyone they have played.
Ultra competitive teams don’t have a percentage in the 80’s, we should be folding them like freshly starched laundry if we’re serious

Over the next six weeks Crouchy is our main man in the middle and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him seriously put his name into AA contention. I harp on about it a bit but bloke’s an absolute gun
Remember when there were those complaining that we were paying too much for a slightly better Dunstan 😂

Easy win, comrades. Pommie slippers on, big cigar and a large brandy in front of the TV. I might even send my butler to get breakfast. Aussie Sheila to give massage with a happy ending as a massive bonus.
I had no idea you held a seat within the house of Lords...I say, good show old chap 👏👏👏(make sure Sheila does not have rough hands, lest your happy ending end up in horrid sensation of burning fire, and inevitable chaffing)

NWM was managed last week and did not lose his spot in the team based on form. Any other suggestion for his selection is at best a red herring.
As well it would then go against selection integrity it looks to me like selection is not honest. Otherwise no player would want to be managed and sit out a game.

Don’t agree. He’s a first year player - it’s entirely understandable (and good management) that he gets rested after having played a good few games in a row. We all said he was looking a little tired.

Just as it’s entirely undetstandable if they bring him back if they see he’s the best fit for this game.

I'm not suggesting that NWM was only recalled due to it being the Sir Doug Nicholls Round, it may have been a factor in his selection along with the game being in SA but he's deserving of a spot in our team given his performances so far this year and he gives us a point of difference with his skills.

Hopefully he has a big game fitting of the occasion, no doubt he will be keen to perform well given the round and being at home in front of his family.

Think it just means he really was managed rather than "managed". Nas has been good all year have no problem with him keeping his spot, we should play him as much as possible. He and a few others will be hard pressed to hold their spots in the coming weeks with Clark, Butler and Higgo all coming back.

Like all our players he will need to play well to hold his spot as competition for spots is hot with some good players returning, healthy for us as a team.

This time last year players could play badly and still hold their spots given our long injury list and poor performances but there's no such luxuries now.

I couldn’t drop windy on last weeks effort alone and WM has been better than good so I’m fine with the team we’ve selected.
That about sums it up for me too! I would have loved to see young OWENS in but really happy with team as selected. With STEELE injured OWENS will get his chances for sure!

This game has a lot goin' on!

Sir Doug's Indigenous Round, Brad Hills 200th, us with the most indigenous players in our team, Wang's first game back home, Tex's first IR since revealing true colours, and all of our recent general SA connections through trading.

I'm sure I'm forgetting a few other points of interest but I reckon there's a fair bit happening in some players heads already.

Let's hope we thrive.
