It all equals out. Brisbane have scored the most points in the comp this year and they play in the most humid conditions. And bad luck to the teams that have to play in wet and/or humid conditions.

Sate of Origin is the deadest of deadest dogs. I'm not sure why anybody still brings it up. NSW would beat SA these days. Football in this state f.ucked. The newtering of the PAFC has basically destroyed the entire SA football ecosystem.
The game isn't what it was. It's some hybrid sport played by athletes now.
I used to watch as many games as I could on any weekend. Now I struggle to watch our game, and am seriously giving thought to not bothering with it anymore. It's not the game I fell in love with anymore. When I was a kid I'd go watch my Dad play for Kybybolite and grew up loving the game to watch & play. Now with the AFL fiddling with the rules, taking any collision or contact out by stealth it couldn't be anything further away from the game I fell in love with as a kid. I remember what AFL footy was, this isn't it. Even going to the game isn't what it was, it's a chore and a damn expensive one for families. The SMA will continue to rise prices to cater for their shareholders bottom line and we'll continue to suffer for it.
My comparison to the on field product is I watch the Premier League and European football leagues & competitions every weekend and every 2/3 days a week when it's in full swing and can watch my team play and any neutral game. The atmosphere is there which makes the viewing experience, and the sport hasn't fundamentally changed like the AFL has.
The crowd numbers will continue to dwindle over here, the two clubs in Adelaide are out of touch with their supporters but they're also a symptom of the governing body not caring what the fans want and the AFL's need to change the game and rules every 12 months, then through the umpires every fortnight.
Yep, the SA SoO team would basically be another Redbacks.Sate of Origin is the deadest of deadest dogs. I'm not sure why anybody still brings it up. NSW would beat SA these days. Football in this state f.ucked. The newtering of the PAFC has basically destroyed the entire SA football ecosystem.
Imagine how much they would have scored if they had a roof on the Gabba? It all equals out. Brisbane have scored the most points in the comp this year and they play in the most humid conditions.
Could be the case with unfavorable statsIs it me or has the AFL quietly stopped reporting crowd numbers? It wasn't announced at the ground tonight and I can't see it in the match reports for this round.
Norf pulled 5k in Hobart again. Them's SANFL numbers
WCE vs Ess cripple fight pulled more than the top of the table Melb vs Bris @ MCG.
That's because interstate supporters never show up.
Post-covid, vs GC on a Sunday afternoon, that isn't a bad crowd.
At the game I thought it may have been less than that maybe 21K.
My guess was 26k.At the game I thought it may have been less than that maybe 21K.
Kids getting in for free helps. Caught up with a neighbour on the way to the game yesterday. He used to regularly attend games but stopped going a few years ago. He said the only reason he went yesterday was because of the free entry for kids, so there was two adults and three kids that would not have otherwise attended.

Can see in the future playing at smaller grounds Alberton ect...
Poor example maybe... (Would love Alberton to be upgraded and be our home but ain't gonna happen)Surely you jest
Poor example maybe... (Would love Alberton to be upgraded and be our home but ain't gonna happen)
But teams play in 60k+ stadium's and pull 20/25k... So a smaller stadium what is packed out would be better then a stadium what isnt even half full cough cough the MCG.
No argument there... Better off charging $20 and getting more to the game...I reckon there is enough demand to fill stadiums. My sense is the prices are wrong. It's like $38 for a GA ticket here in Canberra - why would I pay that as a neutral to sit on a grass mound? Greedy VFL.
