I'd love to know if you'd consider it so bad if the article actually began with the supposed news, rather than beginning by telling you you should be offended before telling you what the supposed news was.

And that’s why the club should have supported him.

I think over the course of his career the club has been pretty supportive. Id be disappointed of Jordy can't see this and would once again tell me he is making a big mistake by surrounding himself with people who tell him what he wants to hear rather than telling him what he needs to hear.

Most of those outside Collingwood thought we went way too soft. Most Collingwood supporters thought we did not support him enough. They landed in the middle. People can carry on about how the club should have come out and told the world there was nothing to see here, but like it or not that is no longer the commercial reality of running a football club. While it can be frustrating, its a balancing act trying to please all stakeholders and like it or not we need those stakeholders, especially sponsors. My guess is the sponsors are fed up with Jordy and unfortunately for him even very minor incidents will draw a lot more attention than it would for every other player on our list.

Maybe it is best for Jordy to move on but on balance the club has been very good to him for the 8 years he has been on the list and id say the money he has received far exceeds the performance he has delivered.

Not sure if he is dumb but agree that it was something said in poor taste and totally oblivious on how that comment may be perceived.
