I reckon De Goey will stay on a two year deal. He loves being a Collingwood player.

No amount of money is worth going to a shit truck team like St Kilda.

That's what i think as well, the only reason i could see him leaving is if he wants to get away from the media circus that comes with being a player at CFC.

Hopefully a standard (actual) quad injury and not a Dayne Beams quad injury...

Played 21 gamed in our GF year 2018, hasn't since or before. Isn't necessarily injury prone, but can't get through a season.
He's just not in the same class as the top midfielders in the comp. He's very good and happy for him to stay but he's not getting what he thought he would get from us, and for good reason

If people dont think his lack of professionalism has led to the latest injury, they have rocks in their heads. 10 touches in 5 weeks, what an impact player!

Cant believe this guy still has supporters here, we could be flag contenders if he wasn't such a waste of talent.

Perhaps if the club handled the Bali situation a hell of a lot better than they did - JDG would have at least been training the whole time, even if he missed the GWS game.

Essentially he had 3 weeks off with no training. I’m not surprised at all that he’s done a soft tissue injury after being rushed back in the team without a solid training base.

I hope JDG stays. His clearance work is elite. Adams is our only other decent clearance specialist and he’s struggling at the moment. He kicks goals unlike most of our midfield. Not many in the AFL have JDG’s talent or skill set. The man lives for the big stage.

Same thing used to be said of Didak and Heath Shaw - “cut them loose and get some players that play by the rules and have no personality…”.

By 2010, both Shaw and Didak were premiership players and superstars. You need a few players in your team with a bit of Millane about them and that why we need to keep JDG. It’s not like he’s hijacked a bus or that… the hysteria about his off field behaviour is ridiculous.

There were 18 days between games for De Goey. He missed one week compared to the rest of the squad.

He’s had 54 touches in the last 5 weeks, including the 2 weeks he didn’t play. 97 in his last 5 games. Heck, he had 11 last week in his worst game of the year.

And we are flag contenders. If you didn’t already know, we’ve beaten 3 of the top 5 teams already, and would have beaten the other two if not for poor kicking for goal.

Do you ever get tired of being such a terrible poster?
