Let’s turn to draft now. There is no point playing the old guys now.
We’re currently having pick 8, hope we can get to pick 6 or even pick 5…

put gray on ice other than a goodbye show down

boak, dixon and jonas given a rest and make way for youth

Bailey Humphrey.

184cm | 86kg | Midfielder/Forward

Captain of Gippsland Power

Knee injury kept him out most of the year.
Apparently came back in this week, went better than well and for a 20-35 pick?

Draft Central write up.

"What he does well:

The Gippsland Power skipper is a powerful unit, able to bustle his way out of congestion in midfield and force his side onto the front foot. With a solid frame and strong appetite for the contest, Humphrey is a real tone-setter when utilised on-ball. He has also sought to impact forward of centre too, proving his value as a rotating forward with 11 goals in six NAB League matches. He’s the type of player who falls into the Caleb Serong mould.

The knock:

At risk of sounding like a broken record, ball use is an area Humphrey can improve. While able to gain plenty of metres with his penetrative power, he is prone to blazing away in rushes of blood under pressure, and that translates to some of his finishing in front of goal too. Adding finesse and composure to his game will make those 20 and two-goal efforts he produces all the more damaging. Unfortunately, injury has prevented him from showcasing such improvement during the National Championships."

Might be one to watch over coming weeks and likely to get a run in the last NAB game Vic Metro vs Vic Country.

Noticed Chris25 has put up his Young Talent Time thread for this year on the Draft board.

Has Keeler at 5.
I think he is a North fan. Generally over rates the SA lads, but gives a great insight.

I wouldn’t say I really have an SANFL team. Probably Sturt out of family loyalty. With a soft spot for South.

But someone has to stick up for the SA kids. And I maintain Keeler is the most naturally talented player in the draft.

Not a crack at you mate, just over the journey you do tend to be more favourable to the SA lads than most. Which is great because I don’t see nearly enough junior stuff.

THE NAB AFL Draft will be later in November this year as the League gives the AFLW Grand Final full spotlight.

The AFLW premiership decider is scheduled for the weekend of November 25-27, with the first round of the men's NAB AFL Draft to be held on Monday night, November 28.

Clubs were informed on Monday that the second and remaining rounds of the national draft will be held on Tuesday night, November 29, with the AFL continuing with a two-night draft bonanza. The rookie and pre-season drafts will be run the following day on Wednesday, November 30.

Assuming we get an end of first round i like Konstanty (plays like Dylan Williams but he can run) and Hayes. (tall defender who can run unlike Sam) If Davey wasn't father son for Essendon he would be a nice fit.

I don't see how we can go wrong with the first rounder.

We probably go Busslinger. He's strange as he plays quite short but is a fantastic intercept mark. Tall skinny Rance? Jhye Clark is very Selwood. Hewett very Dusty. Phillipou looks elite. McKenzie maybe Sloane. Hollands is a good mid and kick. Cadman plays somewhere between Jeremy Cameron and Georgiades?

Darcy Jones is a fast, ferocious mid who is a good kick. I really like him. He's just short.

I'd go Phillipou with our first pick tbh.

Darcy Jones could also play small forward. I'd like one of the Kostanty or Jones for the small forward position. He's not played there much through the championships but I think he's a good chance to play in that position between now and season's end.

The reason why I wouldn't go Busslinger with our first pick is because I think we can and should prize Brennan Cox from Freo back home. And then draft Lewis Hayes and develop him. Just a personal choice

Power Rankings July. Bailey Humphrey one game but take notice. Some ranked him top 10 before he was injured might get back there in a few weeks.

"Having missed Vic Country’s three games thus far due to an untimely injury, Humphrey came back with a vengeance via the NAB League. He was not only best afield, but arguably the best player competition-wide in Round 14 with 31 disposals, 12 marks, four goals and five behinds in an even 100-point romp of the Northern Knights. Having popped up everywhere on the day, recruiters were left impressed and he looks a chance to be included within the first round bracket – well within that range, for some."

I'm pretty sold on Konstanty at about 20. Reads the ball well. Leads. Good on both sides. Has tricks. Vertical leap. Tackles. November birthdate. The knock is consistency but he's a forward so that's going to happen. Probably needs more of a tank but that will happen.

Zane Duursma is going to be a friggin gun. I think Xavier is going to come good but there is no way you would trade him this year. It's very possible a club would massively over trade for xavier to make Duursma jr happy.

I’d play lord and see what he can do over the next 3 weeks. If it looks like he’ll make it as a defender at afl level I would go for a midfielder 1st and then try and get Hayes as a later pick
Trade in some cover and have Hayes and pasini work up to speed in the 2’s

Our recruiters love lads who have flown under the radar because of injury, and they love a vic country boy.
Stand by for 'Here's Humphrey'

I'm on board with Hayes with our Amon compo if still available.
Would like us to get another 2nd to take Lemmey.
Obviously alot rest on our trade period but
1st Best Mid hopefully Phillipou
Amon compo - Hayes
3rd Lemmey or Scully
4th best small Forward available
This but Sheezel at our first
