Disagree that loss against West Coast after the siren was far better.
40+ pages spent on the 2020 Port's Prelim disaster, says otherwise.

However, which goal for the Eagles after the siren. Lets compare the Pear.

I hope we give him an enthusiastic send off.
The first Showdown ever where neither team's fans may want to win it.

Port fans dont want the win, to give Kenny any more credit.

Crows fans dont want the win to protect their draft position, if they are intent on keeping the pick.

That Koch announcement on the news is up there with Roo telling people to "go support another team".

Really tone deaf, and a great way to enrage or alienate a large percentage of the supporter base.

When Kern finally does leave there's surely going to be a free fist sandwich for Kochie on the way out.

It will be amazing.

There’s no way kens getting an extension after 2023
We’ve rode our lucky for a long time, all good things must come to an end.
We have got great mileage from him though..its like at the end of a sauce bottle you stand it on its head to get the last dregs to use. Ken is that sauce bottle just flipped upside down..done but not quite yet

I wonder if Port will try and "save face" (important in Chinese culture according to one of the many experts that popped up during their time there) by lifting Ken into the category of coaches that is worthy of a succession plan?

Brett Montgomery apparently gone, no senior assistant ever replaced Voss as far as I know.

Bring someone in now and have Ken pass on all of his wisdom before stepping aside.

The 2018/19 pick swap is a race to the bottom.
Liam Stocker still without a contract and probably going to be delisted. Playing this weekend.
SOS and Bolton gone after that trade. The pick swap/split gave them Kemp and Philp.

We got McAsey, who has played less games then Stocker, but still has a year to run on his contract.
Still not sure who won out of the trade. Maybe neither side?

Our only hope of this occurring is if they have a terrific first half of the year, sitting in the top 4 by mid year, otherwise he is likely goneski.

Not one Port poster on the Sack Kern thread can understand the real reason they can't sack Ken.

They literally cannot afford it financially.

It's got nothing to do with losing touch of "Port Adelaide Football", they're a minnow club with no money.

Spot on. That’s why the idea of them getting Clarkson is fanciful. To pay out the last year of Ken’s contract, plus Clarkson’s contact and all of the support staff that Clarkson will want to bring in. How on earth do they think they could afford that?

They truly live in some alternate reality.
That being said, I still remain worried about a potential change of mind due to supporter backlash (Ken going now). I won’t fully relax until the pre season starts and he is in his rightful place as head coach of Port Power!

Am aware that to backflip now would see that club look like a complete joke, which would be amusing of course. But still slightly concerned!

I was saying to people when it came out that "Port wouldn't stand in Hinkley's way if he wanted to move clubs" that of course they wouldn't, they'd be begging GWS or North to sign him up because it means they get out of his contract without having to pay him. It wasn't a noble gesture at all.
