He was a frustrating player. I always liked him and his best was pretty handy, but just ran out of patience the last few years.

Hard to tell how he will turn out for GC.

It depends how GC go. He's the kind of player that plays well when the team is travelling well. When the team is going badly, he disappears - he's not the guy who is going to drag his team off the canvas.

He's an icing-on-the-cake kind of player - in 2017, that was some pretty sweet icing on a delicious cake. Since then, the cake has been bad... not just bad, but disgusting... completely and utterly rancid. When the cake is that bad, icing is not going to help. You need to throw the cake out and bake a new one, which is what we're doing now.

I look forward to our first game against them when he records 10 tackles and kicks a goal after successfully fending off 3 tacklers in a row.

Surprised the club's "memories" highlights package didn't include him getting caught holding the ball in the middle of the MCG on Grand Final day

Football games are long but that was massive in terms of changing the game. The best kick at the club has a free kick on centre wing, we're 13-3 up. And instead of Tex pinpointing a pass inside 50 to potentially go 19-3 up and get them really on the back foot, Rat takes advantage, blows it, and 30 seconds later Richmond kick their first and awaken the beast.

Hell has officially frozen over...

Rory Atkins with 7 tackles in a match!!! That's like Sam Berry getting 50 in a match.
