They look good as well. This is the one I have and is perfect for male and female. Just turn the tap on and wash away. No having to reach for the hose or anything. Save on toilet paper as well.
Thanks bro. Definitely gonna get one of these now.
Now you know 2 and potentually 3 if tazza can get one over the line.
It’s done. Mrs come round to it

I need to vent.

One of the issues of having a partner who works in digital marketing is they believe anything they sell and “flushable wipes” are an absolute scam.

My apartment doesn’t have a bidet so this is the next best thing and after 18 months living here the pipes have had enough.

My suggestion of buying an attachable bidet that connects to the toilet was shot down apparently because it “doesn’t look good in the bathroom”.

Who literally gives a s**t.

Worst weekend since two weekends ago when I locked myself out of the house.
FWIW both times I’ve been dog sitting involuntarily and I feel like God is sending me some sort of sign that maybe choose another animal for a pet.
Update. Issue had nothing to do with flushable wipes.
Called the plumber out and first thing he said was to stop using flushable wipes immediately. If they don’t cause a blockage initially they will eventually.

What he told me to do was to test paper dissolving by filling up 2 glasses of water and placing a flushable wipe in one and two or three rounds of toilet paper in the other and see how long it takes to dissolve. Flushable wipe will stay in tact. ACCC has been in court for six years trying to get companies to change the labels with no success. It’s cooked

As to the actual reason for the blockage, it was the neighbours toilet that was blocked. My drains and pipes all clear.
I asked the neighbor when did he first experience issues and he said it’s been ongoing for 2 and a half years ffs
Body corp investigated recently and apparently said there was no fault they could identify.

The neighbours toilet pipe actually links up with my laundry drain sometime down the line and the blocked toilet meant that sewerage ended up coming out through my laundry floor rather than their toilet because of a lower exit point. Meant their sewerage leaked all over my hallway. When I say leaked what I meant was heaving.
I have never been as annoyed as I was last night. Flooding has ****ed the floorboards and the skirting boards.

The plumber said it’s not my problem and was adamant to point out I shouldn’t be forking out to pay for anything, so he canceled the job and went next door and created a new job and began working on the issue. As soon as he flushed the neighbors toilet my drain started bubbling like Mt Etna ready to burst. Disgusting.

Quoted the job for old mate next door. $2,500. Ridiculous. I was more than happy to cover the call out fee but f*** me that stings for them.
Neighbor paid it no questions asked. They were so embarrassed. I told him send the invoice to BodyCorp, but f*** now I got an issue that each time someone takes a shit next door, my floors are vulnerable to any further blockage.
The professional cleaners came in today and I made them earn every cent by cleaning the walls and falls.

I let rip to BodyCorp with an email. For the Water damage they can fix. Not copping it. And the pipes gotta change.
Another rant over

Sounds like it's totally a BC issue - unless things are different in VIC compared to what they were when I was an owner in NSW anything beneath the paint was a body corporate responsibility.

Had an issue where upstairs neighbours had a blockage and my apartment was flooded, all floors needed to be re-sanded and finished. Was all covered by body corporate.

My co-ordinator recently quit out of no where. She literally created the program and i was the first one poached from another team and we'd been growing it for 2.5 years. We got the best results in our review, had the board salivating over what we're doin and keen on expansion. She promoted me to a senior role and then quit a week later.

We'd also lost a few team members to various reasons and were just about to go on mass recruiting. So it was just me and another bloke left on a team that recently was 6 plus coordinator.

One of the reasons i accepted the senior role was that i was encouraged by the support i had from her, and in my first time in a senior role was set to have her help with it.

We're starting to recover now, but im still feelin pretty pissed off at her leaving. She has a going away drinks coming up and i think it could get a bit confrontational if i have a couple of pints and start speaking my mind.

Who ever she is, did you a favour, you can’t take your new role off your resume, regardless of how it turns out, you’ll be able to apply for a new job with that title.
Don’t be pissed off, enjoy the extra responsibility and learn the good old fashion hand ball(secret is go early with it)

Thank her, be grateful, don’t burn that bridge, you never know what pops up in the future, she might poach you later anyways.

Yea, you're right. I guess it was because i was anxious about steppin up and was actually mentally too reliant on her being there. So her leavin pissed me off cause of that. This has been a bit of deep end plunge, but its gone fine.

Like, im now the expert on the program so im in the box seat for directing expansion. I should thank her for that rather than be pissed off.

She left for a different field, but it was something id consider far down the track if the burn out gets big, so it would probably be good to have her on side.

For sure had to be during development. They’ve cut corners and thought **** it, B’s laundry drain and connect up with A’s toilet drain and they’ll never notice. Like f***. I’m so mad mate

Developers put pressure or some campaigners are just lazy and then years later the issue always ALWAYS comes to a head H.

You’re right mate. Any drain pipe blockage is totally a BodyCorp issue and not the residents responsibility.
If there’s a cracked pipe it’s the residents but blockages need to be fixed and sorted by them.

My bottom floor apartment copped a sewerage flood back in the day. Woke up one morning after a big one and stepped out of bed into a sea of floating turds. As there were two other apartments directly above mine, I had the backed up raw sewerage bubbling through my bedroom-adjoining-ensuite. Called the plumbers who removed a gigantic tree root from a gum tree in the front yard and body corp footed the bill. New flooring, new carpet, cleaning etc and had to stay with family for a few days. Good times, so I feel your pain tazaa.

Thanks G.
It’s the sense of helplessness of it all knowing you can’t really do much.
The Body Corp manager who responds to my email just needs to get on with it.
I don’t want an apology or any sympathy. Fix the pipe, fix the floors and reimburse me for the clean up costs and call out fee.

firstly you will love the bum gun,

secondly re the sererage issue, we had a blockage at old house ( on septic here now so self managed) and same issue the blockage was across boundary in neighbors house but the procedure the water board use isnt very user friendly, you have to get a contractor to submit drain camera footage of the blockage for the authority to authorise the repair, but said contractor cant take the footage on blocked drain so he has to clear it first, then its an additional 500 bucks to take the footage but the blockage is already cleared.

bit of a chicken and egg scenario.

Yeh that makes sense.
BodyCorp replied and are shitting themselves (I know) at what’s happened. Two owners immensely pissed off.

Hmmm, i've had two major blockages and nothing come out of the laundry.
Yeah well it cant flow back up hill. However with a blockage downstream your greywater can back up but there could be a trap with a vent so the excess grey waters can overflow the trap into the yard. But if its working properly the grey water should pass the trap and continue to the sewer.

In our case it was pretty obvious the issue was a stand of trees in neighbors yard which roots were getting in the pipes, said neighbor removed the trees and after clearing it managed it by pouring copper sulphate down drain every 6 months. Pipe was about 2m deep at that spot.

Yeah, we have something like that. I should have said who sets it up so it can actually flows back into the laundry.

Oi ferball new wheels mate?

What kind of plumber connects the sewage to a laundry pipe?
They are all linked usually.

The wastes should all be 100mm sewer pipe with traps so stink doesn't come out.
A typical plumbing set up, would have your toilet, bath, shower and basins all connecting to your wastes and in a unit/flat situation multiple unit's would utilise the same sewer...

This is the plumbing in a bathroom renovation I completed for a client recently.

The far left pipe is toilet, the twin pipes are 2 x basins, the closest pipe is bath and the centre pipe waste. The shower is out of view and utilises the old shitter pipe(direct to sewer instead of to waste) IMG_20220923_002835.jpg
