Exactly right if Geelong won't pay what he's worth that's his problem, If he wants Geelong more than they want him it's his own fault. We cannot accept anything less than a 1st round pick and even then it's unders given how late Geels picks will be this year and next.

I have already said in this thread I'd rather get nothing and send him into the draft than get screwed by Geel, They get what they want every year, it's how they have stayed on top so long and it has to stop!

The players families do tend to sit with the other players that arent playing. Lets not jump to conclusions.
I know this because I was chatting to one of our players parents during round 23 v carlton. There was that double header with the VFL, and was told they would be sitting up above on level 3 with the players not playing and families. You get allocated a specific section.

You are right Jen. Talk about a witch hunt. He is sitting amongst the Geelong Players friends and families. The players he is sitting with... He played with 2 of them at Geelong Falcons.

I hoped the boats would sink and all aboard would drown on parade day, but unfortunately the boats apparently didn't stay out long enough to reach the eyes of the waiting fans.

I would hate nothing more than to further strengthen the Cat's list by giving them our only truly x factorish 3rd year player while we collect mutton dressed up as lamb players from other clubs. I am with you in that I'd rather send him to North and get nothing than further enrich a premiership winning team for anything less than a first round pick of value.

Can be a player…in return. Needs to be a pick around middle of first round for it to be equitable

Not even a close comparison!

It’s not living “in” Geelong. It’s the peninsula.
It’s any kid who comes from country Vic and don’t want to live in the city.
GC still have competition from Bris.

They have zero competition for them. So they never have to pay overs to retain them. They are “home”.
800k down the coast goes a lot further than 1.1 in the city!!
