Still a great resource mate. I didn’t know half these kids. Kudos to you.Lemmey was a top prospect this time last year - talked about in the top 5. His 2022 hasn't been great, and he's been falling. So yes, he's still at 25 on my list, but wouldn't be surprised to see him fall lower. If he goes that high, it's likely to Port or Adelaide.
Note - my rankings are calculated, I'm not a draft guru by any means. I pull data from a number of sources and assign a point value to each, and rankings are done by points.
Thanks! Much appreciated.Still a great resource mate. I didn’t know half these kids. Kudos to you.
So if he drops to 29, why not us?
15. Harry Lemmey
Unfortunately there's not a great deal of positives to take out of this year for Lemmey. From what I've been told, I'm not sure he was particularly well supported in the State set-up, which could explain why he was spat out devoid of any confidence. I'll continue to evaluate him on his whole body of work and with that comes some pretty impressive football as a bottom-ager. I still view him as the most talented KPF in the pool and I desperately hope he captures that 2021 form again.
Yep, and those born in January to March in particular. Reason is they are bigger and get picked in rep sides and exposed to better coaching and don’t get bashed around and leave the sport disheartened like smaller and less developed counterparts….we do this research. There's a lot of data showing older kids (in the year level) do better (not only in sport).
Mate - you’re all good in my book. Even quoting outside sources, top stuff. Thanks! Much appreciated.
Here's what ModernArtillery says about him on the Draft board (MA is SA-based, and go-to draft guru for SA kids):
Take from that what you will, but it seems there is more going on with Lemmey than just on-field performance. Have a look also at the RMC summary. Clearly has a lot of talent, and will get drafted at some point.
Aph, do I get a card for quoting myself?Mate - you’re all good in my book. Even quoting outside sources, top stuff.
Reading that summary. That’s a Steven Oliver moment. I’d have a serious crack, just as I did when Jack Martin was available. Talent doesn’t go, brain cells do though. Give him a professional environment and a hard ass like Voss, maybe he’ll come around. People screaming for a hybrid Ruck/Fwd (though I think TDK will take this league by the scruff of the neck). We could have a gun in the making. Pick 29 all day, even if we take Hayes at 10. The kid can play.
I don't know, I get a bit nervous at AFL level when KPPs don't have a bit of sh*t on the liverMate - you’re all good in my book. Even quoting outside sources, top stuff.

Has talent but didn't have a very good year - as in looked a fair way removed from being up to the standard. Can anyone actually just say what the issues with Lemmey are? If he is/was such a great talent then if he’s there at 29 take him. Wasn’t this the same reason a Jack Darling slid so far on draft night?
I'd rather take a risk on Tom Scully ahead of Lemmey.Has talent but didn't have a very good year - as in looked a fair way removed from being up to the standard.
Question marks over how badly he wants it.

Not what I've been told.Has nothing to do with how badly he wants it
He drops too many marks. I’ve watched him a fair bit now and he reminds me of when we were trying to turn Shaun Hampson into a forward.I'd rather take a risk on Tom Scully ahead of Lemmey.
Nope, doesn’t appear like anyone can. He just went from being damn good to being damn not so good for no apparent reason. SMFH.Can anyone actually just say what the issues with Lemmey are? Ed Allan must be one seriously freakish athlete. Haven't seen any of his play as of yet but 194cm wing/mid who tests like that... If he's even half a football player he's going to be something scary.WA teen breaks 14-year-old record at Draft Combine
