These articles and by extension the AFLs reporting on draftees are turd, why can you only see the top 3 of a few tests? Trying to find stats on the players as well is too difficult.

What speed by Allen, not for anyone but a guy of his size is great, so I then want to see where he places in agility and 2km but no, can’t find that.

It should be easy to find all this data.

Where does Allen’s game translate at AFL level?

The top 10 will get reported soon

Allan is someone I mentioned previously, know he has a decent tank, surprised about that sprint

Think he comes into a late 2nd round contention now

I'm super confident that we will trade into this draft. Either up, or into.

We have hit the Go button and the more we dally, the less players we will have READY for our flag push which is starting NOW. I think we will trade forward for the next 2 years.

I can absolutely see us trading our future 1st to get up the order from Pick 10. Or if we can't achieve that(which is very difficult to get done), then trading it for another 1st this year(again, if possible).

Get the best quality we can, in NOW. The Sheezal rumour from Forty3 makes all the sense in the world. IF we can do it. 10 and future 1st in a heartbeat. He is the type/quality we need who can impact almost immediately. That Premiership class medium forward. Missing link for OUR team.

Other than a 17 year old kid, what do we get back out of that deal?

We get an elite prospect who suits what we need, and is good enough and advanced enough, to get into THIS team very quickly and make a difference.

I would take that opportunity, if we can engineer it.

Player(Sheezel) aside, i reckon we are list primed to bring ourselves a draft or 2 forward. There is even the consideration that bringing ourselves forward 2 years in a row "may" coincide with not wanting a 1st rder in 2 years time when Camporeale's kid is apparently a chance to be one for us as F/S.

I just think it is a very sound strategy for us the next 2 years to trade forward imo, and Sheezel seems an ideal player for our team to do it for.

I think we've got 3 potential Senior Coaches on our panel for the next year or 2, Voss, Hansen and Power. Bring drafts forward and develop now.

Nothing against Sheezel, but two first rounders is a very high price to pay for a kid. Im more than happy to trade the future 1st, but to garner another first round pick this year, not to give up two for one kind.

I definately would do that .. our 10 and future first for Sheetal is a no brainer .. who I rate as the stand out in this draft gonna be a premium A grader . We will definately finish in the top 6 next year so that's basically pick 10 and pick 14 for a pick 2 or 3 ..

So what’s better.

Try and get another 1st this year by trading our future 1st (14 for arguments sake) and going to the draft with 10, 14, 29, could even try use 49 and our 60s picks and a possible Setters pick to upgrade 29. Giving us a shot at 3 good players this draft.

Or trading our future 1st and pick 10 for pick 4 and going to the draft with 4 and 29, obviously trying to trade 29 up like in option 1. In this case we get a crack at two quality players and hope that pick 4 is considerably better than the two picks we trade it for, but then don’t pick until the 30s in a supposed strong draft next year.

I like the idea of trading forward, as you say if things progress with the Campo boys, we might not want a 1st that year, but why would you trade two first rounders for a kid who’s never played a game?

I personally don't see the need or necessity for us to trade any first round pick (this year's or next) feels like it's too much of an gamble, happy to possibly flip 2nd and 3rd round picks though if we find a deal to our liking/advantage.

Last year we traded pick 8 and 46 for Adam Cerra, I thought it was slight overs, lots thought it was overs, Cerra had over 50 games of AFL experience and a top 3 B&F finish.

This year it looks like the Dogs will trade Dunkley for 2 1st rounders, neither in the top 10, Dunkley has played over 100 games, is a premiership player and a B&F winner.

Then there is people here who want to trade our pick 10 and F1 (realistically 15) for a kid who hasnt played a game and is ranked about 4th in a supposed weak draft.

Sheezel recently spent some time with St Kilda and said of his time at the Saints “I wish I could just stay”.

I can't work out if that makes him the most charitable or the dumbest draftee in the pool ;)

I’m with you on this except I haven’t seen the best of Sheezel. He had a hip injury towards the end of the year.

Anyone point to a better game that’s available online?

I guess this theory is all dependant on the projection of Sheezel. No guarantees of course BUT

Right now I can see Walsh, Cerra and Maybe TDk in our list under the Weiters year as having “top 50 in afl” potential.

Need to keep bringing that in at each opportunity. If Sheezel has a good chance to be a top 50 player then I say take it. It’s very difficult to get those chances with picks beyond 10. Please don’t point out the outliers here. It’s a probability game.

Just can't see how we would get ourselves high enough for Sheezel. Our pick 11 this year + a future first imo would not be enough to get pick 3-4 this year.

I depends what the club consider a weak draft. Sheezel they may see as a top 3 pick any year but our pick 10 as equal to a pick 20 most years.

It’s a shallow draft, I rate the top end. There’s a few really good prospects including Sheezel. It’s just that I really struggled to get excited after my top 15 bar a few good small forwards that we don’t really need and a few solid tall defenders that we also don’t really need.
