Don't know if this is the right thread and prepared to get roasted for this but I'd 100% rookie list Dan Hannebery. Would be cheap and offer so much leadership which we lack a little bit. Pending we have a free list spot.

Hang on guys he's got a point. He'd be wonderful for tackling practice.

The Box Hill Hawks forum is at the top.

Wrong. Bont drafted 2013. Dogs 2014 playing list had 5 30 plus players on it. Who better to teach the young players? They took three of those through to their 2016 premiership list. Minson was also still on the list.

This is missing Matt Stevic (305), Simon Meredith (288), Scott Jeffery (309)

This is old news of course and not quite sure where to post this but it is really pretty weird when you see the calendar in person - at my local news agent this morning.

Why would the person in charge of designing it select those players anyway? Even if it was manufactured mid-year it should have had Newcombe, Sicily, Moore and probably Breust on it.

Probably some junior marketing person at AFL HQ I would suggest. There's a vast array of tacky AFL merchandise I think would be centralised at the AFL which the clubs get little to no say in.

Who we looking at?

Anyone have some Intel?
Poulter's name was thrown around a bit in the trade period. Think I read he was spotted at Waverly at some stage (was when trading thread moved at a page a minute so can't say if it's fact or not).

Could be on our radar?

Marc McGowan thinks final call on Seamus yet to be made

Uncontracted (1): Seamus Mitchell
Contracted: 35 (one category B rookie)
Draft picks: 6, 24, 41, 48, 50, 52, 65
A decision must be made on the Hawks’ last uncontracted player, Seamus Mitchell, by the AFL’s second list lodgement on November 10. Jai Newcombe is a strong candidate if they promote someone from the rookie list, while Hawthorn is set to use as many as five picks at the national draft. Their draft hand will be even better once Brisbane and Adelaide match early bids on father-son prospects, with Sam Mitchell’s rebuild going into overdrive.

Same with Downie. Both are fairly soft outside players that can offer us something we lack - pace and kicking skills. Both have had bad runs with injuries.

Seamus isn’t soft like Downie was. He’s just not had much a run at it.

I'm trying to put into words what the issue with Downie was.

Not even that he was soft, he was just ...there...ambling around, getting an occassional kick...getting an occasional handball, amble over to somewhere else on the field, get an occasional recieve.

No urgency, no getting stuck in, no fervour...just 'there'...poodling along.

I felt like yelling out at Box Hill one day "Its later than you think, Conor!"
