I suspect, like Bundy, he studied crime related subjects in an effort to understand them and lessen the chances of being caught.
Nutbags like this are why I stopped studying criminology and have a cushy desk job.

Good ones / bad ones?

We barely use our normal oven now. Started out with the Kmart 3 in 1 but it blew a fuse (which was a known problem but they might have fixed by now) and then bought a cheap one off Amazon which looked identical and has been going strong ever since.
We got the oven style one, not the draw type and we cook 99% of our food in it.
I know a few people who have the draw style and they got a ninja, both pretty happy with it.

Went to a mates recently and they punched out a bowl of chips for all the kids in record time. That alone has me intrigued given its a minimum 40 minute process to make chips here (which is probably why we don't). When kids are hungry they're hungry. Might open up a few more options to us now with two shit heads on the go all day. Reckon we'd use it infinitely more than our Thermomix

Takes about 15 minutes to do chips in ours, i prefer thick cut.
