Wedding present from the in-laws. I was sidestepped completely.

In my defence mine was also a present from the inlaws.

It sits above the milkshake maker, waffle maker, icecream maker, crepe maker and the jaffle pie maker.

The pie maker actually gets used though.

So out of the 3 of us, I’m the only stupid one who actually paid for a thermomix

On the other hand at least my in-laws don’t hate me

Talk to me about air friers.
Ok, my wife is Vietnamese. They are the masters of air friers.

We have two of these, one in Australia and one in Vietnam (where we just arrived a few hours ago).

Shop around (online) for the best deal.

Actually reminds me of Tet last year.

Had to transit through Sydney and catch Vietnam airlines. Seriously, every third family was taking a boxed air frier home with them.

We were smarter. Sent one back with our mother in law instead.

Like potato?

Who am I kidding, no one can afford chips anymore...
Wifey has decided that sweet potato chips are the way to go just lately

This is the most relatable thing written on the internet in decades.

Every year they get rolled out as Xmas presents and every year I'm sure they get used twice and collect dust

Re: Airfryers, we took the plunge on a whim last year.

It still sits front and centre on the very small kitchentop space we have, NOT collecting dust. I don't use it as much as the other half myself, as I quite like soggy food, but if you're not a weirdo like me then it'll be a game changer.

I did cook a whole chicken in there once and it went fine.

I went the Phillips Essential XL, can't fault it.

Should've bought it there from Lazada or shopee, comes with the correct plug and cheaper.
