Went to a mates recently and they punched out a bowl of chips for all the kids in record time. That alone has me intrigued given its a minimum 40 minute process to make chips here (which is probably why we don't). When kids are hungry they're hungry. Might open up a few more options to us now with two s**t heads on the go all day. Reckon we'd use it infinitely more than our Thermomix
Even before factoring in the cost difference an air fryer is infinitely better than a Thermomix

Anybody have any experience with roof top tents?

My cockiness at being able to maneuver dad's caravan is making me think there may be better options for the lap later this year. Plus it'll be easier to move around cities too.

Do I need a particular type of roof rack? I have a bit of a beast atm and am worried it won't work as it has raised edges.

Air fryers didn't exist when we got a Thermomix. It was a request from the wife BC. Still use ours, but not as much as we should. I use our multi function pressure cooker / slow cooker / rice cooker way more. There's only so many things I have a use for a blending or stirring option while cooking.

I'd be hitting YouTube if I were you, some seriously good rooftop stuff out there!

No experience, sorry. They would have their pros and cons though.

Pros - simple setup, no towing, cheaper than a van, fuel savings.

Cons - what if you get to camp but then wanna go for a drive to a point of interest? If the weather is rough you have nowhere to retreat to (unlike a van). Bad weather equals rough night's sleep.

Love slow cookers, best stews ever from them.

Cons - trying to climb up after a few beers is challenging

Every thermomix in existence was a request from a wife with a husband too stupid to say no

Right next to the bread maker, waffle maker, pie maker and popcorn maker

In my defence mine was also a present from the inlaws.

It sits above the milkshake maker, waffle maker, icecream maker, crepe maker and the jaffle pie maker.

The pie maker actually gets used though.

This reminds me, Valentine's Day is coming up.
