Ross & Dmac are calfsSo the players not named anywhere are:
Jones (achilles)
Ross (?)
King (shoulder)
Billings (leg)
Hayes (foot)
Membrey (knee)
Allison (foot)
McKenzie (?)
Hotton (back)
Keeler (knee)
McLennan (back)

I've probably missed it but I can't remember why Ross, McKenzie, Heath are missing?
I reads like a coaches press conference.
First one to arrive at the ground so he’s obviously keenSharman will kick 14 off the bench

Maybe it's a practice game and they're managing his load? That's a bad sign. He was playing very attacking last week running off his man and playing a more Sinclair style role. Perhaps without the defensive side to his game though.
He wasn't impressive but he wasn't terrible either. You can only surmise that he failed to keep the zone intact or something.
Our pre season was abit disjointed. Especially the older guys. That's an extremely extensive injury list.
Got to wonder why so many get injured pre-season.
These practice games are really not worth the effort when our players go down in them.
If we get another quality player injured today, then the club seriously needs to look at preseason.

Heath I think tweaked an ankle. But I’m not certain on this one.

Sorry Stav not sure how you ended up in my message
Sorry , i would rather put sticks in my eyes than spend time watching them , i tried once and all old mate did was play with his hairThere were mutliple points to my comments.
If you listen to SaintsTV pod on the game, on similar lines to the risk of the practice games.
Players going in too hard at training must have some truth.
Have you ever actually played football before? Practice matches are incredibly important at every level and I would argue the afl is doing the players a disservice by reducing them down to 2 (technically one now). That's an extremely extensive injury list.

AFL has stopped the pre-season cup, interstate competition, post season comp, exhibition games ... nearly everything outside the home and away season.
Wouldn't be surprised if we see these pre-season practice games gone by next season too.
Played sport all my life, including football and still undertake risk pastimes for the adrenaline rush. But these pre-season games are not worth the risk to our players and it proves nothing...
Tell me what we gained from the Melbourne game other than a media nosebleed and an injury to one of our best players.
