Is going to be a filthy wet down there

Lets hope we actually have a plan and tag Stewart or make him accountable. None of this 'we back ourselves in' garbage.

Will need some Rankine/Rachele magic up in the forward lien in these conditions today as ball going to be on the ground a lot. Wouldn't mind Soligo resting/rotating up forward to as he is usually clean.

We are heading southeast today to a wintry Kardinia Park. According to some we should not even turn up, such is the inevitably of defeat at this Crow’s graveyard that we always seem to be scheduled at and where we haven’t won in 20 years. Others, the glass half full supporters, believe we are turning the corner and that this year’s Crows are on the up. With some outs for the Cat’s, these supporters think we are at least a chance.

To be sure, beating the Cats at their home fortress is a tough ask. We will have to be at our best and have our goal kicking boots on. Perhaps we might even need that bit of luck and late individual brilliance that we saw in the game at Launceston.

It looks like the Crows are really setting themselves for this one after losing a game that should have been won last week. There is a fair bit at stake, given our precarious position on the ladder. We can either consolidate our place in the eight or leave ourselves very vulnerable. If things go our way, I think we can win. If so, we would have passed an important litmus test. What are your thoughts? Is this 'mission impossible'? Please do share your game day musings with us here.

As much as I posted Cats by 147 on the main board because I love to play the victim card I think we are a chance to win.
 well, uh, that makes sense :drunk: . Are you using Reverse Psychology on the Footy Gods? :sneaky:

Im not going to be surprised if we do get beaten by 5 goals. I'd be a bit disappointed to lose by much more than that. Not suprised if it's a close lose or win either.
There are 4 options:
The Crows win big/small.
Geelong win big/small.
If the Crows win big (the only option you didn't cover) will you be surprised, not-surprised, or disappointed? :winkv1:
(Apologies, I haven't taken my anti-silly medication yet)
We just have to kick more goals than points, that's the objective. Even if its 10.8 and we lose by 20 pts that's better than 6.12.
Need to dismiss goalkicking yips early which we did when we went on the 4 game run.
In order:
--- I'm hoping the objective will be us kicking a bigger score than them. I'd take 5.19 if they kicked 8.0.
--- if we lose by 20 points, 10.8 would mean a Geelong score of 13.10. If we'd kicked 6.12 against that it'd be a 40-point loss. Both losses are unpalatable to me. Personally, I don't think my heart could take another close loss.
--- agree.

My medication has kicked in, so here's a serious question:
Wintry-wet, 14C with a SE breeze (Willyweather, but actual wind is SW) are predicted.
Do you think that will give the Crows a better chance of pinching a win, or worse?

Hey guys, might be a long shot but I’ve got three free tickets to todays game in Geelong if you might know anyone who can use them.

They’re not together but are close to each other. Even if you can use one or two let me know.

Good luck today! (not really)

Cheers
Careful, everyone...

Its the wind coming across the redevelopment combined with the wintery conditions that has me really worried about our goal kicking...it has the potential to be a horrid day for us in front of goal
The breeze is light today. Also favouring the redevelopment end.
Wind will not be a factor today.

There are showers around but only light and moving through. I expect the game to possibly be a bit slippery during these showers but definitely not very wet.

It's pretty cold here today but that won't affect the game.....just the spectators 🥶🥶

BUT... It is the sort of day where the weather might change. So there you go...I've done it now and put the moz on the whole day. Will probably snow at half time now 😇

To nullify Stewart is a massive step in the right direction. He is not their star player but I rate him as their most important. I watch all the Cats games closely and they're much less a team without him.

Without Jack Henry back there and Duncan looking poor this year, Stewart is more important than ever. Big, big job for our Benny!!

So Keays to Stewart, and Sloane to ruffle the feathers of his old mate Dangerfield?
