Listen, this is what we need to do, that's if we even get pick #1, Norf tanking too.

Harley Reid is a generational talent, period. He would of went pick #1 last year as a bottom ager, think about that, and he's in't a KPP.

Harley Reid requesting a trade in 2 years time if that happens, the offers on draft night will still be there in 2 years time. So why help another club and not get the best player.

The only team that can facilitate a trade that i would consider is Norf, and im not talking their first and PA first. It would need to be those 2 picks plus their first next year with our second rounder and potentially our first second going back. Even then i wouldn't potentially do it.
I understand your point. But at the same time we don't want to draft Reid then have him leave in two years time, and OK we get some good picks for him if he goes but it still sets us back two years as we will have to invest time and games into whoever we take with those picks.

I also think that given the club is likely to go through a bit of chaos over the next few years with a likely change of coach, CEO and lots of turnover on the list the odds of Victorian draftees wanting to stick around after their two years must be significantly less than in more normal times.

We cant just keep taking WA kids mate. If that happens it needs to be a big haul

Pick 1 for pick 4 and 6 with the giants
Pick 6 and 52 for 14 & 18 with the dogs
Have to be realistic so the other teams would actually want to do it giants would love Reid and bulldogs would love a top 6 pick

Go to the draft with 4,14,18,19,34
Way to early to say but I think them top 3 picks look like Dan Curtin, Clay Hall and Mitch Edwards

Wouldn’t be letting our future first go not with the way it’s been going it’s almost a guaranteed top 5 pick

What if Reid tells us flat out he is not interested in living away from his family and will be nominating the minimum two years for initial contract and leaving once his obligations are over. Would you still draft him then?

We can't say WA kids only with early picks forever, but we can't flatly ignore flight risk and adaptability of the kid we draft either.

How about Tyler Brockman and Denver Grainger Barras and pick 2 for pick 1 it sounds fair to me 2 good west Australian’s plus pick 2. Or would you guys burn the club to the ground over that deal I probably would if the shoe was on the other foot. But after watching that game today you guys need as much young talent as possible and preferably west Australian’s because you don’t want to develop young players just for them to go home. But west coast have been very good at keeping players from other states over the years. So maybe take the risk and take Harley Reid he just didn’t sound keen on going interstate listening to him on gettables this week. My opinion would be take the risk and keep the pick but I’m curious what you guys think.

If Harley is really against heading West then we take the best option . If the offers aren't adequate we take Harley with pick 1 .
Brookman and DGB + pick 2 + pick 20 would be okay .

I wish you guys would start playing harry barnett as a ruck forward even though he’s under done you guys need to get games into super young talent such as him he will be a star after 50 games so better start getting games into him. And don’t bring to many of dad’s army back into the side because you guys might pinch a game or 2 late and that won’t be good for your development in the long run I mean losing pick 1 winning pointless games.

One full stop in that wall of text.

You’re improving 👍

North might trade pick 2, Ports top pick and pick 20. Is a good trade, especially if Harley comes over and has a holiday for two years and then goes to Geelong for chicken feed like Danger did.
