Dont recall it.. but i do recall his brother having a pretty decent game..Didn't Daicos go off early, due to injury, when we played the Pies?

Mid to late first?.. early second?….What do you reckon Keays trade value is?
I mean, it's a trade thread, he seems superfluous to the side as a half forward soft tagger, what's his value, mid to late first, early second?

SOLD!!..

Keays would be a third rounder.I get where you are coming from but I think it is a valid question. I don't want to hear "well the coaches rate him" or " we'd never sell him off he brings professionalism" " or you can't get rid of his experience" etc etc, what do people seriously think trade value is.
And rounder and rounder and rounderKeays would be a third rounder.
He went off for treatment but came back on.Didn't Daicos go off early, due to injury, when we played the Pies?

Nah it was in the first half I’m pretty sure.Played 87% game time so must have been late. I reckon he went off for a few minutes after getting tackled at a point in the last

Nah. He's a guy who's featured in club best and fairests and is established best 22. The market for those kind of players is higher than that.Keays would be a third rounder.
That means little when he has a known weaknessNah. He's a guy who's featured in club best and fairests and is established best 22. The market for those kind of players is higher than that.
So there's only a market for players with zero weaknesses? That means little when he has a known weakness
We are talking the price, sure he will get a game at some other clubs but they aren’t going to pay a lot.So there's only a market for players with zero weaknesses?
Keays would be good for someone like west coast..
Go in there and help stem the current bleeding.
Its what he did for us in the rebuild.
See ball.. get ball… keep it moving forward and away from the opponents goal. Who cares how ugly it is and who cares if keays doesnt hit his team mates.. its all about keays winning the ball and moving it forward any way he can and while he does that its not in the oppositions hands going the other direction!
That way you dont suffer as many humiliating, soul destroying defeats..
But once your rebuild progresses and you start adding talent.. you move on quickly from needing the keays types. You need to prioritise skill and talent.
But a rebuilding club arent gonna give up much to get a keays type player.. you pick them up as delists from other clubs that are generally contenders at the time and have no need for a scrapper..
We should keep hold of him and make him our sanfl captain.I doubt a club would trade for Keays when he's an unrestricted free agent at the end of next year.
3rd rounder at best. I respect Keays and he has had some great moments of toughness and courage, but you cannot take a player into finals who has skills as bad as his are. He's the ultimate momentum killer so most good clubs would give him a wide berth. What do you reckon Keays trade value is?

Change of scenery and a roll of the dice? If he came for sfa?Elijah nothing startling again today in the GCS's big win over the Footscray Bulldogs

Let’s give it a tryWe should keep hold of him and make him our sanfl captain.
Go into the sanfl team and set the standard to the youth in regards to giving it 110% and never giving up on a contest.
Lead by example.
Reckon his manic play and endless gut running would cause a lot of drama and worry to opponents at Sanfl level.
He's not coming for SFA while contracted (2024) and wouldn't be on the big bucks that would make him an attractive salary cap dump if they were that way inclined. GCS wouldn't be inclined to do us any favours after snaffling Rankine who they were desperate to keep.Change of scenery and a roll of the dice? If he came for sfa?
Fair enough to all of thatHe's not coming for SFA while contracted (2024) and wouldn't be on the big bucks that would make him an attractive salary cap dump if they were that way inclined. GCS wouldn't be inclined to do us any favours after snaffling Rankine who they were desperate to keep.
Of course but it's becoming a worry now he's 2 years post ACL and doesn't seem to be anything like the player everyone had visioned him to become.Fair enough to all of that
I don't follow or watch any VFL at all, beyond what's posted here.
Curious if you think he'd be worth a roll of dice at all though?
sweet, get him at a reduced price. Bit of money being spent in the magoos
