Considering all that we had our against North at SANFL level, we did quite well. I didn't realise Clurey had been out but that does explain a bit, he'd been dominating and controlling the backline at SANFL level.
In theory:
If that came to fruition, that'd be a huge injection.

- the Power may have Jonas, Marshall, Boak and Dixon as ins
- the Magpies could have Jones, Jackson, Lord, Evans, Mead, Fantasia.

Personally I don't see him actually playing at all. Put him on the inactive list and give some kid a go. Absolute waste of a list spot.

I've still got hope that fantasia can recapture his 2021 form, particularly the QF and cause some headaches for opposition small defenders in the pointy end of the season. Even if it is only for a few games, when fit he is still clearly best 22.
How'd he go in the Prelim?
I know that's unfair as he had a heap of friends that day. About 20 of them.
But in all seriousness you couldn't trust him in a final. Every chance he won't last the 1st qtr. I don't want to see him in a power jumper again.

Apart from Dixon who I think is playing pretty well this year, Boak, Fantasia and Marshall and then Jonas are not in super form.
I was thinking about it when I watched the game on the weekend. The outs were not that bad.

If Marshall or Dixon are ready of course they come straight back in. A complete no brainer.
Boak probably should too. Jonas is the one where you would consider a run through the SANFL before returning but i suspect the C next to his name means he will return this weekend.
Edit: i typed above before realizing Jonas was going to play SANFL, that's a good call from the club. It was the wrong decision to make him Captain again this year, no point doubling down on it by continually selecting him when his form doesn't warrant it.

Ken Hinkley expects Dixon and Marshall to return, Boak likely still another week away. Fantasia will make his return with the Magpies

I don't know, I understand that perspective, but we've paid for him and we're a contender right now. I think you need to try to have him ready to extract a game or two out of him if the opportunity arrives or injuries strike.
Obviously he's unlikely to remain fit for the rest of the year, but we've gotta try. At the end of the year he should be delisted.

Boak is a weird one, he should've been fully recovered from his ribs, that new hit shouldn't have broken them or bruised them again, but obviously he must've been in a really bad way to again miss another full 2 weeks.

3rd week in a row now that Dixon has been deemed a test and still hasn't been able to get up. Always an extra delay with this guys injuries
