I don’t think we could have hoped for much more from the Victorian media, in how they have called out both Mclure and Cornes

There has been several quotes today basically calling bullshit on both of them.

Can you point me to some of these quotes?

Anxious to see their own colleagues putting the boots into these idiots.

It's just such an odd stance and reeks of sour grapes. I've never known the media to jump on a draftee and say that they shouldn't go to a club as it's a graveyard.

It seems to me it’s a Melbourne club(s) pushing the idea that Reid doesn’t want to go to West Coast as a means to diminish the trade value of pick 1. As in, using pick 1 to draft a kid who’ll leave is a waste so there’s better value trading it and McLure is the gimp happy to push it

The failed fireman is different, he just hates West Coast and is happy to put the boots in

Right now I can’t wait until we call his name out with the first pick and watch Harley Reid tear the comp a new one over the next decade for us - and I’m one of those who until now was quite happy to split pick 1 for the right price

For the first time in a long time for once I would just love the club to say f*ck it and pick the best kid available instead trading ourselves back 15 places to get a couple local players. But whether it's right or not, I've resigned myself to the fact they'll split the pick since they got holes all over the field and will look to replenish asap before Tassie takes over the draft.

Got to lean into that desperation though really

4,15,23,34, future 1st for pick 1,and future 2nd is ideal

Pick 19,23 and 36 for Pick 6 and future 3rd

Barass and pick 38 for pick 5 and 25

Pick 4,5,6,25,36 and 56 + 58 (use for Collard and Livingstone)

Pick 4,5,6 could get maybe Curtin/Duursma/Watson as I expect Hawthorn wil take Caddy at 3 now

Sorry, wasn’t intending to lawyer you, was just keen to see the boots getting put into McClure and Cornes. The only thing I’d seen was from Schofield and of course he’s going to defend the club.

Very true. The only teams I can think that this doesn't apply to are:

Freo (they have never played in a big game)
Tigers (we've never played them in a final)
Bombers (we've only beaten them once in a final)
Brissy (never played them in a final)
GWS (they've beaten us in the only final)
GC (never played in a big game)
Bulldogs (beat them unexpectedly in a final in 1999 but not sure anyone remembers)
St Kilda (never played them in a final)
Hawks (they've had the last laughs in 1991 and 2015, though the qualifying final in 2015 was great)
