Maynard was wrong, their B game was enough to beat Port.
I had my doubts if we could come back against the 2nd best team in the last after being confronted hard with tackling pressure. But, I kept my nerve and trusted the team to do what we do, and we did what we do and finished over the top in hostile territory against a legit contender.

You really need to find the opportunity to come out and be at a game at the MCG, packed house and the atmosphere with all the Pies supporters is something to behold. You’ll never see or feel anything like it, simply amazing.
That was Port Powers grand final. They rested players last week, had us at their home ground, got amped up for it… and still lost. Soul destroyer for their club
