Can get away with a few out against mid table teams but not against top table sides. These injuries could cost us this, give us a massive chance with a strong side.

Think our new game plan will go a long way in righting some wrongs. In the past we have gone super negative and implemented our old game plan against them, since we dumped that for what we have now we have put sides to the sword.

Not having runners through the stoppages and kicking blindly forward and going around the boundary slowly and entering the forward 50 from out wide. It's put Collingwood's intercept defenders in the box seat and allowed them to rebound too easily against us. Because we have runners through and from the stoppages, we get the ball into the hands of players running forward and we go fast and direct it takes the intercept defenders out of the game and makes them defend.

Our faster and shorter defence will be far more effective.

Who plays? Who's fit? Not sure we didn't pull players out of the WCE game precautionary. We will see.

Win this we play finals. Lose and we have some hard work to do to get there. Pies had a tough game, but they seem to be able to get up each week.

Not going to be a popular post but my seats are near the bench so I could see a bit TV may not have shown
and I give JSOS in particular no chance of coming up unfortunately.
Once he cooled down his limp was severe and looked very sore. :disrelieved:

Highly doubtful Jesse as well , was limping.

No real idea on Walshy but could have Vossy put him on ice deciding game was over and
no point risking him? Let's hope so and it would have been a brilliant move if true. Fingers crossed.

HE WAS AMAZING, could have been the best half I have seen him play...... WOW !

The injury toll is cruel, at full strength in the form we are in, beating those putrid pies was on the cards.

As it stands our percentage gives us a free throw at the stumps this week as we could very well win our
remaining games taking us into finals.

We are close to THE FORM team of the competition and playing brilliant football.

However we will need some luck with injuries. It is just so tough, Kennedy, Harry and now yesterday.
I think we all need to say a little prayer. :praying:

GO BLUES!!!!
Voss does play a bag of coded traits....he will get very candid if his ego can settle in
I think he put some of the team on rest mode for further matches
It also suited the situation 👍
If we can pinch a win...thats the plan, smashing probably might be a two way expensive affair
Dont need drama.....4 points OK now

Happy to admit I was very wrong when I thought it was an error to take Docherty away from halfback and shift him into the midfield.

29 at 90% with 9 clearances. He, Cerra and Cripps is a starting midfield capable of taking on the Pies.

I also did not realise how fast he is; considering his knee injuries he still moves very well.
Have done this many times
Doc tries very hard and plays very well for Carlton
Could put him in a few spots including wing/midfield where originally was or a mid/HF
Really good player......very

Assuming there is no Silvagni and Walsh...

Kemp Weitering Newman
Saad McGovern Cincotta
Cottrell Cripps Acres
Cuningham Martin Owies
DeKoning Curnow Motlop
Pittonet Cerra Docherty
Marchbank Dow Hollands Fogarty
Young

IN: Cripps, Cerra, Marchbank, Pittonet

OUT: Walsh, Silvagni, Cowan, Honey

Dow is a massive out. He's the only one who can play the run and carry and give us real break away from stoppages. Dow is the next best and we need to put some faith in him to provide some run through stoppages. He's a massive out. Silvagni in form is a decent out. Hoping Owies, Cripps, Cerra and Motlop are good to go. It's a small and quick forward line. Was Hoping Durdin would get through the VFL but not to be.

Are we good enough to beat them? Yes for sure but with two of our big big names out in McKay and Walsh it's going to be tough. Give us them and we are a good chance. Give us Williams and Kennedy and we get them IMO.

Stranger things have happened, we have a very different game plan that is working well but it's much the same as theirs and you needs the better players out there on the day. One thing is for sure both teams will turn up big time.

Lot of talk of kemp will be obsolete when marchbank comes in for Cowan and guv and kemp can play a true intercepting running role ..
don't kick it to Moore and Howe all day and dont give up secondary possesion from clearance like last game then we win this

Watched the West Coast game again. Agree with Arrow. Kemp was a lot worse than people think.

Wouldnt shock me to see him dropped for Marchy.

Think TDk has to play forward else Pies double and triple team Charlie and run off.
Kemp isn't a KPD. He's a good match up for as a third mobile forward. We are short a KPD to really challenge the taller teams.

Our backline has been terrific since we’ve gone for more mobility and speed by replacing Young and a slow inside midfielder we were playing at halfback, talk of Young going back or bringing in Durdin is ridiculous and shows a lack of understanding about what has made us improve over the last 5 weeks.

Weitering, Gov and Kemp are easily good enough to cover Mihocek, Mcstay and Cox/Cameron playing Young or Durdin back just slow us down and stifles our ball movement.

IDK why, but I see more liability than asset in Mitch. Higher standards for the capital outlaid, prone to too many basic errors.
I think he bites off a lot but across the season it comes off way more than it doesn’t and he’s been very good. His stats show that too.

  • kick efficiency 80 percent
  • elite score launches
  • above average tackles, intercept possesions and spoils
  • elite intercept marks and contested marks

Their bigs won't do much damage, its Elliot, Hill and Peter's two Boys that I'm worried about.

Looks like JSos will miss, so that would be our biggest structural issue to navigate.

Pies playing slightly taller, McStay, resting ruck and Mihocek who plays taller

Number of options, to try and combat it

Pitto - Young goes back for their resting ruckman, Kemp forward, or Gov. But Pitto still looked lame to me, not sure he comes

S. Durdin - With Young forward, changing with TDK. Gov can play on smaller agile types

I'd go option 2
What about Marchbank into Kemps role and Kemp to play forward in JSOS spot?

Yes, will be most interesting to see how we go against a team which will bring the pressure.
The same can be said for them imo.

Think they’ll feast on the rover, can Cereal provide the energy?
