No idea mate. Nick got two cracks at WC too, it's just weird that people need to try and make out he was better than Curnow and Walker to appreciate his brilliant season. All three should be AA

His nine-goal haul, a personal best, in the Kangaroos’ inspired victory over Gold Coast in Hobart on Saturday, took his tally to 71 for the season, impressive for a team that mustered only three wins and passed the 100-point mark only once for the year – on Saturday.

Last week he kicked six, the week prior it was five. That’s 20 goals in three games. If it wasn’t a solid downpayment on an All-Australian berth, it at least gives him a compelling case.

Yup. Its a testament to his intelligence, work ethic, leading patterns and positioning to kick 71 goals when contested marking is not a strength. He just works so hard and gets to the right places at the right times. Smart, smart key forward. When we get better at our transitions from defence to attack he will get event more opportunities than he currently does.

They've both kicked.more goals too. He is competing against Cameron x2, Greene and whichever mids they put on the flanks for the other forward spots.

That should weigh heavy in the minds of the AA selectors, but it wont.

Looking at goal averge when not including WC or North games is more accurate, but Larks still on top with 3.0 gals per game, Walker and Curnow 2.7.

I’m sure they could fit them all in . In 2018 Browny was second and didn’t make it. In 2017 Brown finished 3rd and the 4th placed player made it. It’s bullshit , bit of a pattern you would suggest.

Larkey has seven GAs, at least 2 of em yesterday. The other two have 16 and 18. So they kicked more goals and helped their teammates kick more goals.

Drew Petrie got the same bench spot. I reckon they might give him the nod this way with the justification that he can/occasionally does take ruck contests, same as they did with Dish even though he didn't really take ruck contests that year.
