Last two years he has played it safe. Well done.
I’m so happy we don’t have to worry about a top 1 pick, but also wrapt we didn’t go for sanders, especially with our current set up.

Cannot negotiate to save himself

Pick 48 for a future 4th

GWS trade pick 50 for a future 3rd

And now we have 2 list spots to fill with worse picks

Negotiate? We were taking best offer for a pick we didn’t want and were going to pass on.

Some of you formguide junkies need to understand there are ****ing professional list managers developing this squad and thank god.

We drafted five first rounders yesterday. Take a breath.

I think Brady needed 3.5 minutes to say hello and introduce himself, then only had time to take the first offer. :stern look

We probably shouldn't use an Ent for live trading. :p

Night one:
GWS gets pick 17. St Kilda gets pick 18 and a future second.

Night two:
St Kilda gets pick 50. GWS gets a future third.

I'm assuming it was GWS and St Kilda evening out the scales.

Not allowed to do that anymore.

Not allowed to do what?

Do trades which are paybacks, favors, etc. That is considered draft tampering now. The media was getting shitty at us for not bidding on Walter with 2 instead of 3, claimed it was a favour for GC for doing the pick swap during the trade period. It just isn't allowed anymore, you wouldn't expose your club to the risk of sanctions over a third round pick.

Would love to see the AFL even try to police that when the individual deals are justifiable.

Very small pitchfork out for me atm. It's far from the end of the world but passing on pick 48 when our most important player was pick 73 is disrespecting the vibe of the draft. I wanted my bargain/steal dopamine hit :/
