Just wow

He looks 4kg overweight through the midrift….yet….was easily the best end to end runner out there.

His hands are out of this world. Way too many examples of hitting half volleys at pace and fumbling NONE for it to be an accident. His pace is good.

He’s an upgrade on Hewett and Kennedy for that 4th mid spot.

Elijah Hollands was excellent in the midfield, finishing with 30 disposals, 10 tackles and six clearances.

Paddy Dow type VFL numbers.

Looking forward to the E.Hollands and Dow deals getting done today. May give us time to conjure up something else if someone became available or we have our eye on a particular player in the draft.

Carlton has nothing but goodwill towards Dow, and will accept unders, but it has to be to a reasonable extent. Hoping SOS doesn't allow his ego to get in the way and gets the deal done without the need to have a 'win'.

If the reports re us sliding down a few spots in the draft order for E.Hollands, then bring it on. I have faith in Austin and Agresta re identifying the talent required at the picks we end up with. The word is the top 10 are a lock, but a bit of a lottery after that..

Still very bullish about last year's crop, with O.Hollands, Binns, Cowan, O'Keefe and Lemmey showing promising signs (the latter two more as 3-year project players).

Massive upgrade compared to Dow.See him as explosive forward/mid exactly what our midfield needs.Two way runner,good mark and can kick goals.

keep in mind he's an out of contract 28 year old with just the 50 games played (although did go at 1.7 goals per game, which is pretty solid but not incredible in terms of the general/non-key forwards)

Honestly, I think the week and a half timeline is about right.

Gives clubs time to knock out those early pick swaps, and then that opens a lot more doors as far as negotiating other trades. Sometimes clubs need to be dealing with multiple other clubs and lining all the ducks up in a row before they know if they'll be pulling the trigger on the first one.
