I'm very optimistic about the potential upside in Hollands. He might flame out and never make it... oh well... not too many assets spent. But the scope is there for him to be an EXCELLENT AFL footballer, not just a depth plodder. He's still only 21yo, has had injuries, and even GC admits they've used him wrong. I doubt that he flies into Round 1 next year and dominates, but 12 months of development, discipline and confidence and he could be a steal.

Not sure I trust Ginnivan.

I'm all for players being able to show a bit of individuality and whatnot, but Collingwood all seemed to be pulling in the same direction this year (De Goey included), whilst Ginnivan was getting clipped publicly by their coach. Not sure he's the type to buy in to team standards and non-negotiables, and instead will hang his hat on kicking a few goals and assuming that doing so should guarantee him a starting spot.

If he's cheap, sure, chuck them a late third rounder or something and take him for the remaining year of his contract. Tell him he needs to invest in the TEAM if he's going to see an extension.

If the Pies want more, or if Ginnivan himself wants a newly extended contract as part of the move, then no thanks.

Bloke is playing in an AFL grand final on a Saturday and decides to go to the races on the Friday night. Imagine if some clown king hit him or something.

I also would prefer that we let him go elsewhere.

Sure, not paying up for Dow is annoying, F3 should be easy, but that doesn't change how he has historically approached deals.

If he's turned into a campaigner, it doesn't mean he always has been. We don't need revisionist history.

I'm surprised McRae hasn't been able to get him to tow the line a little better considering how well his two years have gone at the filth so far.

Don't think he was particularly impressed by the Moonee Valley outing. Especially when he did sfa the day after.

So don’t live your life on the off chance a random dickhead assaults u? More chance being involved in a car accident - so u walk everywhere grand final week?
Was in a corporate box, on the waters & home by 9:00.
Instead of sitting at home freaking himself out about the biggest game of his career he went to the races, enjoyed himself, was home early & got a good night sleep. Collected his medallion the next day, good luck to him

Yep Id prefer Wicks over Ginnivan. Much better at providing pressure and since the ducks have stopped being paid Ginnivan's goal output wouldn't be significantly greater. Only positive for Ginnivan is he is younger and so has more room to grow
