I don’t mind it. There was a half forward spot that needed filling with Honey getting delisted, he’s a 28 year old joining a top four team. Seems like a good fit.

Interested in people's thoughts on how we go about getting the quality mid/forward in the Petracca/ Degoey mould that would complement our list nicely. Obviously H Reid would be perfect but not attainable. Maybe getting in the ear of a Humphrey from the Suns? We need to be pretty picky for the coming years.

FWIW - I think there’s the exact player you speak of at or around our current picks - Cooper Simpson of Dandenong Stingrays. His early injuries have kept him out of the big games, so he has little exposure - but having seen him play, he’s a bull mid, he’s man size, he’s got excellent disposal by foot and can kick those Petracca/DeGoey type goals. He’s also a leader and I think he’ll be this years biggest surprise.

Is a really well balanced forward line with enough tackling pressure and goal nous .. with the ability of Fog and Martin to roll through the midfield

Throw in Elijah Hollands as the 7th cog in this wheel and I think adding both hollands and Fantasia in the off-season has addressed the small/medium forward issue - some real shrewd money ball moves here

Looks good on paper!
