He cops his fair share of flack when he fails but when he is song, he really does deliver and it true to his handle.

The Big Show last night turned on probably Australians great individual show in a ODI ever.

That innings was one for the ages.

Five down ( like many ) thought that was game set and match, went to bed and awoke to the news that The Big Show stole the show.

Breathtaking stuff. 👍

Staggering stuff.

Australia needed 60 off 60 and Maxwell needed 58 for 200. He got there.

Hit the sack at 6/87 with Stoinis throwing his wicket away with a ridiculous reverse sweep. Gave us zero chance at that stage.

Take a bow Maxi.

Gonna be hard for coaches to teach young kids the importance of footwork as a batsman considering that Maxwell pretty much scored his last 60 runs with his feet planted in the ground and just used his arms and wrists to hit boundaries.
Natural talent > Technique

Reckon we missed an opportunity not trying to make Maxwell a regular test match player.

As Ilkka Sinisalo mentioned the lack of footwork late in the innings was remarkable given the power he was still able to generate

Maxwellmus with the "Are you not entertained" pose at the end. Glorious.

My word...that was the very definition of stand and deliver wasn't it?

Back to the real stuff:)

Hopefully the other two Shield games should end in a draw today so not much damage will be done to the ladder.

For the first time in a few years WA has got some problems.

They can tell them that when they get to 147 n.o. THEN they can forget about moving their feet.

You’d think the BBL break is coming at a good time. Lots of injuries, especially among the quicks, and a lot of reinforcements to come in from India.
