Moir as a 3rd forward would be nice. Looks to have some wheels too which is what we need. Martin going into his final year of contract so makes sense really.
Doesn’t do enough for mine. If we’re after a 3rd forward, who adds something to our forward line, I’d go after Logan Morris.

….and of course Cooper Simpson who I have been high on for weeks now.

….id also heavily consider Dawson as a KPD.

Will be interesting to see if Goldcoast trade those 3 picks between our 1st and 2nd for points before they are swallowed up.

Had a look and Hawks, Lions, Freo would be biggest dangers to grab them. Obviously much better for us if they don't get traded as they will just disappear.
Hawks won't trade up, they'll be keeping their points for McCabe.

Brisbane and Maybe Freo the only viable clubs to make the trade without using Future picks.

They have a very small window to trade.
They have to do it prior to the Jed Walter bid. So their picks in the 20s will disappear - which is good for us

That’s right - I totally forgot they will get used very early on - and it does seem Walter will be called out very early and they should soon have a good sense of how many points they need for the other two players too.

A quick use of the draft picks calculator shows that the Suns 6 picks between 24 and 38 are worth 3768 points which would be about enough to match the 3 if they are called at say picks 3, 10 and 15. So depending on where they think those 3 will approximately be called they will try to get more points particularly picks in the 30s and 40s in case they would like to use any or trade into next year.

They also have a fourth academy player who blitzed the combine

How lucky are they with top end talents.
Likewise, with Collingwood , Brisbane & WBDs…

We need to have our turn before the AFL change the rules!

The camporaele boys are a good start, but who else have we got that is more top end talent? Where is Walker rated atm and which draft?

Not sure if it’s been mention on here yet.
But heard a few times we are quite interested in Ashton Moir.
I'm seeing a lot of Bayley Fritsch in the way Moir goes about it, except Moir is dual sided.
From what I've seen, he looks like he may need to up his work rate which is a not negotiable under Voss, but no doubt immensely talented.

l doubt Edwards will last to our pick, will need to trade up to get him, still think GWS 2nd 1st rounder may be some chance for the right deal, Cooper Simpson looks a solid choice, has some geninue speed which would be useful for our mid field.
Yeah my thoughts as well with Edwards, he’ll be gone before our first …
Simpson looks a great midfield prospect…

Moir would have to be one of the best kicks off his non preferred to have come through the draft in the last decade. He may not even have a preffered. Even in open space he seems to alternate between left and right depending on what he feels like.

Best on our list would be Cerra. Moir better then him.

I've checked out some vids and barely seen him use his right. Just a couple of "hack it forward" efforts.
Anyway I was interested to see him used behind the ball a bit which might help him get involved more and use those skills.

From the above.
Lual & Moir both with potential interested parties.
“OTHER DRAFT WHISPERS

– Powerful Subiaco prospect Koltyn Tholstrup is widely expected to be taken in the first round, with Melbourne considering taking him with its second first-rounder. Sydney, St Kilda and Collingwood have also been linked to Tholstrup, who was invited to the first night of the draft in Melbourne but will instead remain in WA where he’ll watch the event with family and friends.

– Exciting medium defender and Bulldogs NGA prospect Luamon Lual looms as a possible first-round chance. Lual, who was runner-up in the GWV Rebels’ best and fairest and earned selection in the Coates Talent League Team of the Year, has been linked to the Giants’ second first-round pick, but also has interest from clubs with early second-round picks.

– Fellow Subiaco product Lance Collard continues to be heavily linked to both WA clubs. While Richmond has also shown ample interest in the speedy goalkicker, rival clubs don’t expect Collard to be on the board by the Tigers’ first selection, with the Eagles to strongly consider taking Collard with their natural second-rounder – the first pick of night two of the draft. Glenelg forward Ashton Moiralso continues to be linked to the Eagles.

– Werribee’s Shaun Mannagh – widely regarded as the best mature-age state league prospect in this year’s class – has been heavily linked to Fremantle, which holds Picks 34, 46, 60 and 64.”
