So the club never mentions any disciplinary action being undertaken.

The media, as usual, hint at it.

Social media, as usual, claim to know all about it.

Player resumes with senior squad.

People start to bemoan club’s lack of integrity in regards to the disciplinary action which the club never said was warranted or being applied.

If he had done something wrong.

The media would have been all over it in Jan/Feb when footy news is scarce and puff pieces are all they have to report on.

I mean, they have done 4 reports on Richmond intraclubs in country towns talking about Dusty ffs.

Don’t you think hearing about the bad boy saint who slid in the draft and bullies disabled teenagers and now isn’t grasping his afl opportunity - would be the better story?

My point is, for whatever reason the club never said the Sandy stuff was a punishment so how can anyone pot the club for supposedly not enforcing the punishment? Approaching bus or no approaching bus, the club has gone with the 'need to increase fitness' angle.

We are on a good path now, we should sit back and enjoy the climb because for the first time in a long time we are building a future not hoping for a miracle.

I don't see it that way.

To me it looks like we are setting up for our current generation of best players:




To just be replaced by our next gen best players:




I think there is going to be little or no overlap (of any real substance) where we get all/most of these guys playing together at their individual peaks.

End result?

I think we're structurally setting up to be fighting it out for ~5th every year for the next 5 years.

Maybe that's what 'success' looks like to some? (Ie not being bottom 4 for a while)

I'd personally prefer us to risk more than we have for a real tilt at a flag in the next 2-3 years (while the likes of marshall, wilkie, sinclair, steele at at their absolute peaks)

I am disappointed by everyone but me.

Consequences little for the family, stupendous for the Bigfooty Saints family.

Garcia is showing plenty of promise. He is quick, balanced and has an abundance of skills.
Personally think he is a bit physically underdeveloped but give he a couple of preseasons and he will be a quality player.

They are clearly trying to catch the back of the wave with the first group and build the next wave behind it.
